Do you know why people prefer japanies over english. Because their favorite characters sound less cheesy and cliche when they speak with fast and unfamilier sylables. It's a pretty small reason when you think about it. I'm sure the japanies prefer english for the same reason, which is why thier characters have english catch frases. I prefer english because I like epic corny voice acting. It's a fantasy after all.

@WeStandAlone100 It's technically the 6th game, considering that the first one wasn't called Soul Calibur. It's not that weird for a fighting game though. The Street Fighter and Tekken games all have multiple installments as well.

@sills0608 Look it up. Soul Blade (Soul Edge) was the first game. Soul Calibur was the sequel, but it did a lot better commercially and gameplay-wise. So every title since has been called Soulcalibur. So while this is Soul Calibur 5, it's technically the 6th game in the series.
