@norfsk No. Although it is part of the latest "Future" story arc, it is all explained during intstallation by a funny cutscene. Even then, the story is good enough to hold up for itself.

I started out with the Ratchet and Clank series a bit late ( after ps3 slim was out )

and I really love the games!

But it would be soo awesome if Insomniac remade ratchet and clank 1-4 for ps2 but for ps3 and scaled the games up to hd + added trophy support.

Btw, A crack in time is one of the best games I've played :D

@mrmiddleschoolhumor Are you joking? Cheesy comedy, cheesy characters and too much exploration with little rewards. R&C on the other hand, has a great arsenal of weapons, good replayability and exploration and funny characters. Insomniac failed with Spyro, but R&C was a reward for that mess. That and Spyro found his niche later with Krome and Sierra, but Activision took that away with Skylanders. But at least we still have R&C.

Insomniac gave a cartoon looks in ''All 4 One'', but maybe they'll return to the normal style that they used in the R&C Future serie, the cartoonstyle in the new game COULD be a test.

However, I agree with you, I like this version better as well.

But we'll see how it gets, maybe we're actually going to like the style of it, who knows.

These days we tend to think of the Playstation as being full of dull grey-brown grim and gritty games but when you think about it they're also like Nintendo in making very good light-hearted cartoony stuff as well.

Franchises like Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter, Spyro and Crash Bandicoot have all been popular and successful.

Makes you wonder why they didn't continue to go down that path.

But no, with this latest R and C game over, they've lost the last of those types of games.

It's because it's made by the same company/teams. The same developers. Their allowed to reference their other works. Heck, they've even made a cameo game. So, yeah. It doesn't have anything to do with Sony choosing favorites. Because Sony is a huge company who makes software, computers, systems, etc.

Also, Going Commando is 2. Up your Arsenal is 3. Deadlock is 4, I believe.

but also music, plot, history and character wise.

This game and practically EVERY SINGLE Ratchet & Clank game had all

of those elements that todays video games lack,

which is why I loved the series..

And now I'm sad by the fact that such an amazing title has reached its end..
