  • artaficial intelliegance will soon take over the world, (robots) will soon replace the jobs of the humans and money will not circulate lie it needs too, creating some top ceos to win it all while the mean of are going to suffer, and thats where you get people without common sense cause they don't realize what their so called wonder machines are doing to the economy, thats why robots should only be used for recreational and cerimonial purposes im oly 14 years old and i realize this.

  • @austinjefferies Indeed. Few people have begun to think about what will happen when large numbers of relatively cheap, smart humanoid robots start sharing the planet with us sometime next decade. Just as PCs went from zero to hundreds of millions of units shipped in a little over 10 years, so could shipments of humanoids robots could do the same thing from, say, 2020. And this may radically alter the economy . . .

  • @austinjefferies i don't know, perhaps at first but i can still dream of a robotic utopia where robots do all the work mine all the ore and farm all the food.

its possible an economy may cease to exist, jobs will be a thing of the past and everything will be free. people will pursue more fulfilling things in the lives and arts and science will thrive.

  • I really like these videos, but the presenter really cracks me up with his speech mannerism hahaha

  • i like skeletons presenting important matters.

  • @pabloelpopstar you really don't know what pedantic means,idiot.

  • in the future the'll eugenisize people like u!

  • @alexandersydney no, they'll euthanize ignorant people.lets start with you..

  • @hayden50 unfortunatly they dont euthanize jerks either.....

  • To understand how economics can apply to environmental Issues, I suggest taking a look at....

David Freeman's speech on Market Failure and Externalitites: v=sb5hr-f3Tfg

    Chris Martenson's crash course: v=XnXZzx9pAmQ

  • Macro-economic slavery: I can't say goodbye fast enough or loud enough. The technology and the will to do it is already here.

  • @mrscot Indeed. But the economists don't want to let go. I was reading the Stern Review on climate change last week. This comprehensive document states that climate change is by far the greatest market failure to date. BUT THEN, rather than taking this as a sign that economic decision making does not work, it goes on to "explain" how economics can save us all! (Or not).

  • @ExplainingTheFuture They do not know any better. They too are capable of growth and new ideas. We have to help our fellow humans to a higher state of consciousness about such things. Thank you for the work that you are doing sir.

    Peace out :)

  • Ok after saying this ill probably lose my girlfriend, but the entire economic situation he is talking about was based off of Star Trek economic theory. (The next generation, or, Removal of Economics)

Explains his way of speech I guess.

  • I wonder if he speaks like that in real life.

  • very informative ! thanks !!

  • dude what is goin' on with your arms?

  • like that mrfloppyjoe lmao

  • if you put it on mute he looks like an awkward dancer

  • Im enjoying this newly discovered series, but I disrespectfully disagree with the premise of this particular video. Things like 'sweat shop labour' and other aspects normally associated with globalization continue to *diminish* global poverty levels dramatically as measured over the last 25 years, etc.

  • @rbairos1 Agreed. Anyone swayed by these arguments ought to read Economics Without Illusions by Joseph Heath.

  • Economics is a bluff , perpetuated by those using business law. Contracts backed by state powers perpetuate the myth that something is worth this and someone is worth that. The money they refer to is imaginary. Thus the worlds future is at the mercy of unelected individuals and their agenda. They have hijacked our destiny .We have all the resources we need free of charge.T hey are not going to let go ,they dont know how to.

  • @slevel100 you are spot on.

  • Zeitgeist documentary says that politics, religion, economic and legal institutions are the problem.

Technology take the human place with automation, and in the future, the people will not need to work, and the humanity will have two ways, or will change the things (economic based in resources), or will enter in collapse.

To evolve technology and knowledge is the way for the freedom, peace and sustainable life style.

I watch your videos (E-C & E-F) and wait new features.

    Great Video! Thanks

  • if automation replaces the need of human work force, then surely more and more people will become unemployed

  • @gangteng133 I think you're forgetting that common jobs many people hold today weren't even describable 20 years ago.

Secondly, automation means the price of goods decreases steadily, offsetting any alleged potential unemployment rise.

  • @ganteng133 you should investigate the idea of a resource based economy (but only if you want to of course)

  • I don't think that the 'Green Trade-Off' will be the 'Death of Economics' as Chris Barnatt defines it.

In the case of climate change, the world of economics will catch up with the hard sciences and simply factor climate disruption into its existing framework. I believe this will promote a longer-term approach, but will not radically re-shape economics.

  • "Most measures to safeguard our environment will be bad for the economy. Quite simply, to combat climate change and to save natural resources, we have no choice but to consume less and to accept that our economy must shrink. Indeed, to suggest that we can save the planet without hurting economic growth is nothing short of delusional."

    --Christopher Barnatt, 2008

  • @InnocentByproduct Aww, can't we have our cake and eat it too?
