I turn 18 in October of 2012 ... I had almost given up on this race until I came to understand what Paul stands for ... I've never been more excited about a presidential candidate.
We need to start the process of getting more people to donate on the money bombs. Ron Paul has nearly 600,000 Facebook followers. If each gave just gave $10, that'd be $6,000,000. If each gave just $20, that'd be $12,000,000, etc. Granted, not all followers will donate, but I'd be willing to give more to cover for others. Imagine the powerful message it would send if Ron could raise $12 million or more in one day. SPREAD THE WORD.

i like this guy and agree with his stance on gay marriage and war but some of his views r just too radical for my taste as with many libertarians... i would much rather have him president than some of the idiots the Republican party churns out though (ahem Sarah Palin)
I don't agree with Ron Paul on everything he talks about, and there are things that he does that makes me cautiously supportive like others who commented, but what I can say is that in terms of between him and many others who will run for president. Ron Paul in my opinion is the best choice by far.

I am nobody, but he took the time out, to call me, that says it all. Sadly I didnt get to speak with him, I was out that day, but my father took the call, and said to Ron, you need to run in 2012, and ron said maybe. My father said, the whole country wants you to run, you'd be crazy not to, Dr.Paul, of course said thank you and he would think about it.
i voted for a charismatic smooth-talking chicago politician in 2008 because i was stubborn, irrational and didn't know any better. i won't make the same mistake again. dr. paul, if you run in 2012 you will have my vote and i will do my best to convince my friends to support you as well.

i am cautiously supportive of ron paul. in the past ~10 years america's passionate anger at her own government has been growing. ron paul has the best policies, yet a nagging thought keeps poking my mind every now and then. as the saying goes...
"after america wakes up to the corruption in its own government, the passion may be so great, that americans will beg for a dictator to pull it from the gutter and bring it back to its humble glory"
ill just sit in the shadow and observe. its best to stay politically neutral and watch the as they handle themselves. i try to keep learning from the past but its hard to when you were born in the late 20th century like me. haha!

well he IS old, but he's also a very healthy man. There was a lot of negative talk about McCain's age during the election, but the problem there was really just his poor health. Paul was a medical doctor and has basically had a desk job ever since.. so he's most likely as healthy as a man in his 70's can be. I would love to see him run in 2012.. even if he can only serve one term. Even if he doesn't win, at least he'll be spreading great information again, & make even more people libertarian! ;)

I completely agree with you. Voters should stop trying to "pick a winner" and vote for who will represent them. Then we'd get representatives. You only want to try to pick the winner in a horse race... I don't think the media deemed him unelectable, I think they know that his views are very acceptable to the vast majority of people and they did everything they could to shut him out of the process. Most people had never even heard of him during the primaries.

i am cautiously supportive of ron paul. in the past ~10 years america's passionate anger at her own government has been growing. ron paul has the best policies, yet a nagging thought keeps poking my mind every now and then. as the saying goes...

And I have observe that Paul's greatest achivements are through education. He teaches about economics, politics, philosophy, and the list goes on. So I believe his goal is to give back much of the power to the people. e.i. decentralize.

Why would someone campaign for 30 years or so on the platform of civil liberties, defending the constitution, and take unpopular stances on many issues (in comparison to the wishy-washy politicians we have who won't give a straight answer unless they know it will get them votes or appropriations) just so he can abandon all that and become a dictator?

@AggressiveAgnostic if you watch any video, anywhere of Ron Paul, you will see he doesn't have a dictator bone in his body. the man is honest, almost to a fault. look at what he says and then check his voting record. he mentioned he didn't even want to run for president, but because not a single other candidate was offering anything close to a change, he felt he had to run. he is the exact OPPOSITE of what a dictator would be, he would reduce damn near every aspect of government.

The patriot act is an unconstitutional law, passed by President Bush, Obama is looking to extend it, which allows the government to monitor people without going to a judge and obtaining a warrant. Ben Franklin said those who would sacrifice liberty for security deserve neither. He is exactly right, it's a matter of principle, laws often intended for good often get abused.

well he IS old, but he's also a very healthy man. There was a lot of negative talk about McCain's age during the election, but the problem there was really just his poor health. Paul was a medical doctor and has basically had a desk job ever since.. so he's most likely as healthy as a man in his 70's can be. I would love to see him run in 2012.. even if he can only serve one term. Even if he doesn't win, at least he'll be spreading great information again, & make even more people libertarian! ;)

People should vote the way they want to vote. If you want to write Ron Paul in do it. You know he didnt have to loose in the first place, but from the start the media deemed him unelectable, even though he ran a tremendous grassroot campaign. It sad that people vote for the lesser of two evils, or use their vote to counter the other guy. You should vote purely on who represents your views. Remember its your vote, quit letting people decide how you vote. Thats why were in this mess.

I completely agree with you. Voters should stop trying to "pick a winner" and vote for who will represent them. Then we'd get representatives. You only want to try to pick the winner in a horse race... I don't think the media deemed him unelectable, I think they know that his views are very acceptable to the vast majority of people and they did everything they could to shut him out of the process. Most people had never even heard of him during the primaries.
