Totally agree, great movie. Such a realistic feel to it, makes it so creepy. But yes as Steve says it's not based on a real story. There was the Francois man killing prostitutes that is the closest thing to it.

@CarolynTDWP actually most of that is made up. there was a heavy set man named francois in pougkipsee who killed prostitutes. No tapes were found or recordings were found in his house. Theres actually a book on the thing and there pictures of the dead bodies found in it too. The movie is still good.

hey i love this movie and i have a theory why i hasnt been released. mgm was going to release it but mgm went bankrupt and they are looking for a buyer. maybe since they are contracted to mgm they cant to a different distributor. really the movie is so hardcore i dont think they can sell it unless they go with a indie company but i dont think it will get the release it deserves. i would love to see this in theaters but i dont think it will happen
