what pisses me off is that i am sure klokov could do this much, yet he never went past 232, the mans gotta go for the big lift if he wants to beat akkeav
He did 238 and 183 at the president cup. When I saw him I thought he was over 105 KG, but since he broke the record for the 105, he must have been under 105. I guess here he must have been over 105, because the world record is still 238 not 240. I think he will struggle to maintain under 105 if he continues with the big lifts as he will gain muscles that will move him to the next level like Chigishev. I still like Akkaev because I think his experience and heart will eventually prevail.
Chuck Norris did more than this with greater ease, but it was in a dream. They have great sports science over there as haphazard methods could not produce this. I'm thinking a 250 lift is possible to him at 105.
@skirts365 210 and 250 was done at 110 KG (so 5 kg more) in 1988 by the great Yuri Zakharavich from Russia (Soveit Union), although not at the same competition. So using sinclair scale, 105 KG should be good for 207+246. As matter of fact, the world standards for 105 KG clean and jerk when they first introduced that weight catagory was 242 KG, but nobody could reach it, so they lowered it to 235 and originally awarded Aramnau the record for lifting 236 before they realiazed that tsagev did 237.5
@watchitnow17 Nobody knows but the Russian coach, my guess he struggled with weight. Honestly when I saw him, I thought he was superheavyweight. But as they had close up, he looked like somebody who lost some weight, so I am not sure if he can maintain that. Most 105 KG like Chigishev when they start lifting heavy weights (over 235 KG), they naturally move to the next weight level as they gain muscle mass with the heavy lifts and it will be hard for them to keep in the same weight catagory
@watchitnow17 Even though he is freaking strong, he got 3rd place in the Russian Nationals!! Partly because his snatch is not 85% of his CJ yet, but he is still a beast!

Why was he not at the Worlds? Or was he? To get a WR so soon after the Worlds is odd. When was the date of this comp?
