@jquestor101 - If you read Pigafetta's account it was not Lapu-Lapu that personally that slain Magellan. It was his men. Our so called Battle of Mactan was not necessarily a battle as it was an ambush. Magellan landed there, likely to have negotiation or a treaty with the chieftain. He brought only 60 men and around 40(?) got off board. Immediately the natives charged at them and particularly towards Magellan who they could distinguish as the foreigners' chief by his manner of dressing.
