This had the potential to be a good episode but couldn't they have come up with a more convincing villain than a guy in a Ren-Faire costume playing a lute? The MINSTREL!! Oh Brother!
@MissLori No offense but that is an idiotic thing to say without the facts!, this was a famous actor reprising his role he did in a movie called "the pied piper of hamelin" from 1956, Van Johnson who just died last year was a screen idol and heart breaker of a guy in the old movies and was loved by all the bobby soxers of the 1940's I read it on Google and Wikipeadia!
@RaynaKapek lol I don't remember even writing that comment, but this episode and The Minstrel character actually grew on me. I know who Van Johnson was too btw.
@RaynaKapek You have excellent taste in men, my dear! The actors from Old Hollywood had a certain panache and sex appeal that most modern actors do not have.
They should make this episode the basis for the next big budget Batman movie. The Minstrel would make for a great big screen villain, and the stock market angle is very timely. (No, on second thought, that's an awful idea.)
Robin cups his fist in his hand alot. Is that the only way he can look "dynamic"? Look at Robin in the new cartoons series and he's always kinda laid back and posing hotly. What's up with that?
Okay, so, after this I now know that musicians are naturally skilled in electronics. Good. Heavens, what would I do without you, Batman?

There was no need for the whole "Alfred Picks Up The Phone Scene" if it was going to lead to what transpired anyway.

"Account 007"; "Broccoli Bank"? They can't be more subtle with the "James Bond" references, can they?
rldavis1959 3 years ago
I was thinking that myself...although the minstrel is about as much James Bond as I am :)

@rldavis1959 The 60s loved them some Bond.

Was about to post, he passed away today, December 12th, at 92. A fine actor and a big loss.

You think Minstrel's offer of fixing the stock market for a thousand per member still is on the table - It would be a bargain now.
