The followers of most religions tend to praise and worship the messenger and often forget about the message. But the fact is, part of being a freethinker is being able to look at the big picture, seeing all the possible religions, and then making a decision on which one, if any, you agree with. Me believing in God is my personal reasoning as to why life exists as it does. However my religion does not compromise my 'freethinker' status at all.

@Ozmastero lets clear one aspect about islam .... islam does not oppress women......in the country i live in many women do not wear the headscarf and no body forces them too... its jst that the media potrays islam in a negative way.... it is compulsery too wear the scarf in islam but this is not done as a form of oppresesion... the scarf is also a form of protecting a womens dignity,modesty and integrity....:-)

With no bias view on religion, I can't see how you can try and rip Christians and Jews, for one, the Muslim religion is known to have been the most violent out of all main religions, not only that but its sexist, its so sexist even in the Quran there is evidence where it says you can beat a woman!
