Firstly ( is that a word?), I am a longtime C&H fan. Now pushing 61 years, I still relish the early days of reading Bill W's books to my two sons (now in their mid 20's). They now question life but also relish it. It's a Gift ! Coincidentally, I am a huge Stevie Ray Vaughan fan too. Blues is in me blood. The innocence of Hobbes, the brash, inquisitiveness of Calvin....I wish I was seven years old again.

hectorleon87, my interpretation of "Life by the drop" is the idea that life is a succulent nectar, like honey, and we should enjoy each and every "drop" of it. Essentially, a sense of full presence and being. Calvin does it remarkably well, albeit in non-traditional ways.

Fantastic. I read Calvin since I was 6, and this reminds me just how funny, crazy, emotional, and flat out brilliant it could be. This was the Shakespeare of the comics section. Hasn't been this good since and probably won't ever again.
