  • ahhhhhhhh!

    yeah im going to stick to 1-20

  • Thanks so much, I just moved to Canada and I'm getting a headstrt before school starts.

  • thanks man that really worked...have french quiz tomorrow.

  • That is so effing confusing. 80 means 40x2?! What the hell?

  • @megmo1571 i feel your pain dude... i feel your pain...

  • @megmo1571 ikr it's so annoying

  • wow i took french in highschool. i didnt really pay attention. i never really noticed that they added their numbers 70 = 60+10 80 = 40 *2 etc...

  • only french pple say soixante-dix or quatre-vingt-dix, in Belgium we say septante pour seventy et nonante pour ninety, and in quebec they don't say quatre-vingt they say octante...

  • @azertytrezazer No, the Quebecers say "quatre-vingts" like the French.

  • This is awsome!

  • merci beaucoup monsieur

    kobkun makmak kra

  • Bonjour je suis française et nous pouvons aussi dire.

    70=septante

    90=nonante

  • For the numbers within twenty you must say the ''t'' at the end of ''vingt''. For instance ''vingt-cinq'' you say ''ts'' between the two numbers :D

  • Did you know in Belgium we say ''nonante'' in stead of ''quatre-vingt dix'' for ninety and septante in stead of ''soixante-dix'' for seventy? :D

  • I can't believe this, I started studying French last week, but I recognized all the numbers in mini test. Merci!

  • Merci Beaucoup Monseiur

  • Thank you! I hope this helps on my french quiz!

  • the 60s and 70s are both soixante?! That makes no sense, I think you screwed up.

  • @limbdarkening NO I HAVEN'T MESSED UP....

    Sixty = soixante

    Seventy = seventy + ten (soixante-dix)

    That's just how it works!

  • @LearnLanguages1 Sorry my bad.

  • @LearnLanguages1

    you mean

    seventy=SIXTY+ten?? haha, sorry, I am a hair splitter. you wrote seventy, not sixty.

    @limbdarkening DUHH yess it is. YOU messed up. 60=soixante, 70=soixante+dix

    :P

  • @xXxEmogal999xXx sorry yep :)

    Sorry!!I luv 2 rub things in >:]

  • @LearnLanguages1

    En Belgique, on dit "septante." (70) et "nonante" (90) much easier!!!

  • dumm

  • holy crap damnit exam tomorrow! thanks!

  • thank you alot you helped for my french final exam tom

  • Hmm, quick question (anyone can answer if they want). I noticed you usually pronounced the "t" at the end of 30, 40, 50, 60, etc but it became silent after 31, 32, 33, 34, 42, 43, 44, 52, 53, 54, etc (So for 40 I could hear you pronounce the T in Quarante but at 42 it was silent). Is there a reason why?

  • @Wuzzly Its not that he doesnt pronounce it, but he runs it on, because its too difficult to say (for example) tren(T)e (T)rois, so he says what sounds like ''Trentrois''. When the number has an 'et' imbetween, he pronounces the ''t'' because, its not as difficult ''tren(T)e et un'' (although he is still running it on)

    Hope that helps lol ^^

  • @Wuzzly TammyHallam gave a great explanation. I wanted to add to that comment by saying...

    French is all about the flow of the sentence so keep in mind that some words by themselves may pronounce or not pronounce certain syllables but when put in a sentence it may change the sound.

    EX: Je suis occupé. Usually you wouldn't pronounce the S at the end of suis but since it is followed by a vowel you do. This is the same idea as to why he 'slurs' certain numbers... it is to make the sentence flow

  • wowowo u make it easy...!!! I really love the test that u put at the end of the vid... was pretty much helful...

  • I just want an endless loop where they say to you the number and you have to type it in, confirming if you're correct. That's the only way I'm going to learn. But this video is great, merci!

  • Thank you! This will certainly help for my French class.

  • guys you need to write it down on a peahch of papper I do it and now I know 1 to 100 in frnech you should try it
