@dav666777 I grew up with SNES and N64, but the shear volume of good games on the PS2 is staggering (especially if you include it's backwards compatibility with the PSX). Again, I'm not saying the GC doesn't have some great games (it does), just not as many from as many different developers as the PS2. God of War, Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy, GTA, Kingdom Hearts, Burnout, Shadow of the Colossus, Gran Turismo, Atari/Namco/Intellivision/Activision/Midway collections, etc etc.
@Nanofuture87 The only 2 games that you named that are actually good are SotC and MGS (and FF but it's not PS only)... but I guess that's just my opinion.
@dav666777 FF 7 - 10 and 12 are PS only. It's up to you to decide what games you like of course, but the ones I mentioned are generally seen as being extremely good (and there are definitely more). The biggest problem Nintendo has been having with its consoles since the N64 is third party support (which is the N64's fault, not really the GC's), though Sega has been making some really fun games on the Wii (which I never would have predicted back in the SNES vs Genesis days)

Just got a used gamecube and the thing needs to be pampered with a fan in order to not have a "disc read error". But in any case I think it's the coolest looking system with the highest quality games of last gen. PlayStation 2 was good. So was GameCube. Xbox just failed. Hard. I'm just indecisive on if the GameCube or PlayStation 2 is better. I mean, games like Street Fighter on the PS2, games like Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 on the PS2, games like Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes on GameCube as well as Metroid Prime..... so hard to decide.

@triloblitz You have obviously never owned a gamecube. The reason the 3rd boot of the gamecube was different is because she didn't insert a disc. When you power up the gamecube without a disc, it has a different power up animation and goes to a screen that allows you to manage the memory cards, options etc. From this menu if you insert a game you can choose to run it, then the splash screen from the first two boots you saw will play.

PlayStation 2 was good. So was GameCube. Xbox just failed. Hard. I'm just indecisive on if the GameCube or PlayStation 2 is better. I mean, games like Street Fighter on the PS2, games like Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 on the PS2, games like Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes on GameCube as well as Metroid Prime..... so hard to decide.
But it's obvious that Xbox failed. Hard.

@Campybellz The only reason I'd buy a 360 for is Gears of War and Halo. Halo is a good game, but nothing special. And along with the original Xbox, the 360 sucks even harder. Still, I'd rather play the GameCube over the 360. Live sucks balls because the service is bad. P2P servers suck, you have to pay for Live, I mean, c'mon. It's pointless. PS3 and Wii have free Internet because unlike Microshit and their Gay Box 3Shitty, Nintendo and Sony are less cheap.

Xbox has always had best multiplayer and some decent single player games. Nintendo hasnt been good since the gamecube, but had a good variety of just plane fun games.

A cube is nearly indestructable, can't say the same about the xbox and ps2. My ps2 died once and my xbox doesnt always run while my gamecube is way older and still runs like a dream.

@triloblitz You have obviously never owned a gamecube. The reason the 3rd boot of the gamecube was different is because she didn't insert a disc. When you power up the gamecube without a disc, it has a different power up animation and goes to a screen that allows you to manage the memory cards, options etc. From this menu if you insert a game you can choose to run it, then the splash screen from the first two boots you saw will play.
