  • this song makes me wanna get fucked up.....

  • always a fan of RT

  • @LiquorWreckedEmGood You're not supposed to hold his ass up to your ear ...

  • Awesome tune, heavy

  • heavvyyyyyyyy

  • I saw Procul Harum live in Edmonton,Alberta,Canada on November 18th,1971 at the Jubilee Auditorium when they recorded their album Procul Harum Live With The Edmonton Symphony Orchestra(I was in the second balcony seats). Unfortunately Robin Trower had already been replaced by Dave Ball. I really loved their album Broken Barricades too. I have a CD of the 1971 live album.Dave Ball was awesome but I think that Robin Trower is much better.

  • I would love to see Chris Cornell do a cover of this song with Soundgarden!!!

  • Son, this music will make you a man.

  • Can someone please tell me what that instrument is in the beginning that sounds like a wind chime?

  • Got to see Trower play this live in 1984 and he blow me and the headline act away.

  • First tape cassette I bought was this album. Back in 1974.

  • This tune has the same feel to it as Pink Floyd's Meddle album. Great trippy sound.

  • @BBINGHAM032352

Well, when this album first came out we hoped that he would fill the gap left by Hendrix. The same was said about Mahogany Rush, but I really felt that Trower had the staying power due to his former experience with Procol Harem. Course, one pretty good album is far better than none at all.

  • Classic Rock...at its best!

  • Soooo sad, why is everyone passing around this copy of this song? Does no one else hear the guys talking in the background ?

  • @sbradfute The talking is in the original.

  • What a genius. From one of the greatest bands in the 60s, Procal Harum,

and their 67 song 'A Whiter Shade Of Pale' has to be in the top 5 of all songs!

  • love this song....what a great riff maker

  • this sounds so good i havent heard this for some time

  • Perhaps Trower didn't sense it at the time, but this piece was a brilliant, prescient window into the alt-indie music scene that shaped the likes of Nirvana et al.

  • @ktward61 hey i am with you on this .. cobain followed a great many GREAT musicians...and i also think that in his way he envied others.. so sad he is gone.. great music never dies....

  • It' what you call having the ability to play what you feel. Simple as that.

  • black hole sun? WTF? hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha get fucking real you people are too much sometimes

  • its not black hole sun asshole.

  • You dick heads that think this song is even remotely connected to black hole sun are idiots There are different chords in black hole sun like FMAG AND G MAG PLUS THIS SONG WAS AROUND BEFORE BLACK SUN DUDES COULD EVEN PLAY. YOU PUNK ASS PLAYERS WOULD NOT BE SHIT YOU ARE STANDING ON THE SHOULDERS OF GIANTS WHO COULD PLAY WITHOUT LOOPERS AND SUPER SIGNAL PROCCESORS BACK IN THE DAY YOU HAD TO REALLY PLAY.

  • @nonukia3000 Trower is gay. I saw him trolling for dick backstage at a show. I couldn't believe it but, I saw it. I'll leave it at that. Your guitar hero hunts cock. It is what it is.

  • @BengalsHatchet you are a fuckin dicknose. trower has had more pussy while sleeping than you will in your whole fukkin life. i'd like to kick you in the fuckin face with a gllf shoe. fuck off faggot

  • @radarbugs LOL! good one, man. LMAO!!!!!!!!

  • @BengalsHatchet LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this song far outdates Black Hole Sun...just sayin'

  • ..love this tune way ahead of its time...people r saying a rip off of black hole sun but it was 20 yrs be4 that lol!!!!

  • Soulful rock / blues. Awesome.

  • Cool song

  • i am ure god

  • Its black hole sun asshole.

  • @ladythom

No it isn't! It's sung in a different key. May be the same melody, but not the same key!!

  • @ladythom you are an idort.

  • my dad used to smoke weed to this song and many others. he dont like to talk about it. he says what happend in the past stays in the past. i think that it fucking cool. my dad used to be a heavy burner

  • I love Trower. Therefore, i'm learning to play guitar. This guy gets left out of hall of fame voting and should'nt be.......I love my drums, but! he is so good I have to feel the same thing he feels when playing. I think I can bring it because ILOVE and Learn easy,.////////

  • It sometimes really reminds me of Soundgarden: the voice, the effects, the chords changes...well Robin is of course more bluesy.

  • This is true, the singer's voice recalls me Chris Cornell... same beat as Black Old Sun... some guitar effects sound similar in both tunes (heavy chorus on guitar in Black Old Sun, Leslie or Univibe in Bridge Of Sighs)

  • Sustain, a guitar that flows and pulses to the rhythm, dewars incredibly soulful vocal part goes well with trowers guitar mastery.

  • @terroristkillar

    well said!

    Snipe a terrorist would ya!!

  • OMG my name is Kiefer

[Scroll down and you'll see what I mean O_o] Never even seen that name more than twice...

  • kiefer sutherland?

  • Yup!!!

    That's me =]

    You know...

    The guy with about 7,000 DUI's =]

  • hehehe (; ;p

  • Robin is one of the best guitar players ever. He's on my top guitar players list. (-:

  • un joint pis on décolle!!!!

  • Turn down the lights and fire up a bad one, this is the song.

  • no doubt dude this is the one for a freshie or ten:) your handle, is that for KEEFE? or is your name keifer?

  • Studio quality......live is harder to come across, it's such a linear sound that

casts itself to infinity. His style defines

early metal, solomn empowering and agressive and extremely internally visual.

He took a chance, cut loose and found

appreciation. So much better than pop poop and mass mush.

  • @zhoudunyi "Casts it self to infinity?" I think your cat is lapping up your bong water....log off and go check!

  • @BengalsHatchet LOL!

  • @zhoudunyi Exactly! I couldn't have said it any better.

Trower got some amazing sound in his early studio recordings which I doubt even he could duplicate with modern recording equipment.

  • @zhoudunyi SAY IT BOY!

  • id love to drop a couple hits of lsd and TRIP to this song.

  • Its a better song for smoking a fat one..

    trust me...

  • ...I did, many times...lol

  • Been there...more than a few times!!!

  • @jamesg1978 i did

  • @jamesg1978 feel like you have a bad trip. songs pretty dark

  • the first time i heard this my dad put it on. he liked to get fucked up back in the day just like i do now.

  • He knew his music. some fresh home grown from the bedroom, lights down low and a fine woman on you lap. this entire album is a trip.

  • This song give me chills. Before I knew what the Bridge of Sighs actually was, when I could hear the sound effect of the wind blowing, I would envision some poor young man struggling to cross a rope suspension bridge during a bitter-cold blizzard. It would cool me right down in the heat of the summer! LOL Great, great song! Gotta love what all the guitars are doing at the end.

  • haha damn i feel stupid now thanks

  • lol, everquest

  • im prolly gonna sound lieka geek or some shit but fuckit what game is that lmao

  • i was wondering too, but, i didnt wanna sound like a geek either. congrats u win...geek ;)

  • why so unforgiving....Classic

  • are you kidding, 10111000..........this is what drugs were made for.

  • Yes indeed.

  • this song take you back to some medieval time looking over a precipice at a deep valley traversed by a single stone bridge. or something like that :)

  • The Bridge of Sighs was the name given to a bridge that connected a prison to a courthouse long ago.
