What are you talking about? It's realistic that they float out there...it's probably the damn map. Usually...Hl2 mods are glitchy one way or another. the normal game...they DONT stop they keep floating.

The Ichthyosaur you can fight, but you have to use noclip (after you use the teleporter) to get to it.

In the Raising the Bar book they are said they are just one kill away from extinction but they still swim in the remains of Xen. (They are not close to extinction on Xen only on earth they are close)

Yes, he (she?) is a bit dopey-looking! - although like most of HL2's creatures, I think there's something strangely ... likeable(?!) about it, so I thought I'd put it in the video. Thanks as well for the info on Lost Coast - that's one of the reasons I've put it back in my version, although I tried to edit it so it looks as if a lot more Combine are after you than in the original demo.

It's called an ictyosaur. First introduced in the original half-life. scrapped in half-life 2. in half life 2 they nearly don't have AI. in order order for you to be attacked by it you must be positioned directly in front of it. there are a couple of invisible ones that kill antlions that wander into water. Most of the way, they serve the same purpose as carnivorous leeches.

Sorry, I should have shown that - I forgot that not everyone has played Lost Coast! There's nothing tricky or difficult about how you do get across, but I won't say how in case I spoil it for anyone who hasn't played Lost Coast and intends to (it's just a short demo, really, and is free to download from Steam anyway) so all I'll say is: you don't use the staircase...!

It's a level that was cut from the original game (I think it was intended to be somewhere during Highway 17) and then used by Valve to show off their new technology (HDR).

i played half-life 2 normal versoin and it seems that you did not change much the normal versoin is way better sorry
