Yeah, that was the one that I saw, quite a pricy setup though relatively. Yours sounds quite loud in the vids.. I guess what I'm asking is A) whether I'm going to get pulled over or not, or B) if it's too loud for a neighborhood.
I really appreciate you answering all these questions - I've been looking for an exhaust setup for my car for almost a year now, and I can say this is the first I'm willing to spend money on - I just don't wanna have the wrong setup for me, ya know? :P
@freakelectronica I can not conceive you ever getting pulled over unless you are driving in a manner to draw attention to yourself. It is not loud untill you drive the car over 2K RPM's, so it is manageable for sure. My car is backed up to my neighbors two newborn twins(15' away) and it doesn't disrupt them. I live one block away from the county sheriff office, never, ever been questioned or looked at funny by police.
@robb15033 Darn. I'm looking for something that sounds nice, but isn't horrendously loud. Sounds like volume concerns for me will have to take the back seat the more and more I think about this tone. xD
@freakelectronica Yes, I agree with you. I am installing a MAC ProChamber as a "mid-pipe" in a week or so. That will quiet it down a little bit but improve sound tone and performance.
@robb15033 Yeah, I was thinking of ways to quiet it down, because if I actually get the money to do this, there's no way I'm passing up on an exhaust note like THAT for not that much.. But I don't want my daily driver to set off alarms lol! xD That other video sounds really nice! I can't tell which parts are the prochamber speaking out, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. I'm eager to see the video you post of this setup with the prochamber :D
@freakelectronica My set up is far from setting any car alarms off, that's funny though. The ProChamber video i was referring to is the dark blue SN95, he has it listed as "best 3.8 V6 exhaust set up" I think. But no, mine isn't THAT loud.
Man, not a lot of 3.8's get that tone I REALLY like outta them (sounds like it's still got a ton of "punch" left in the revs, unlike others which sound like they're having to struggle to give it a roar) but this one NAILED it. Best V6 mustang exhaust I've ever heard..
How much did this cost you? Totally thinking about saving up for this...
@freakelectronica Thanks alot. It cost $69.00 a piece for two mufflers (Flowmaster 10's) and about $100.00 for the tailpipes from Flowmaster. All four cats still in place. Divorced duals, no mid-pipe. Any questions, just ask.
@freakelectronica Installation cost will vary depending on area that you live. just make sure you take it to a shop that can weld exhaust pipe, not a place like "Midas". I paid $200.00 to have everything welded and hung.
hey rob u still thinking of the super coupe swap or just keeping it stock j/w wondering from our last convo, also i can rmember its divorced duals with all four stock cats right?
@minicobra01 It's divorced duals after all four cats. I continued running the 2.25" pipe from after the cats to the mufflers. At about 10" before the inlet of the mufflers, I upped the piping to 2.5" and then out to tailpipes. Installed a VAP lower intake spacer that increased low-end torque significantly.
I just got a new job that pays very well. I want to buy a newer Califoria Special or a RTR, or maybe a Cobra and then keep it stock. That's my plan right now.
dude gotta say and take it as a compliment this sounds mean for almost being straigh threw cuz i had slp Is on my 97 (ironic) and it was just loud like this but this seems to be slightly quiter but deaper... you got a beater quality vid cuz i was gunna do flow 10s and h pipe with a cam...what mid pipe you runing
@minicobra01 No mid-pipes, just Divorce Duals. I ran 2.25" pipe after the cats to the mufflers. Ten inches before the mufflers, I upped the pipe to 2.5" and straight through to tailpipes w/3.5" tips. That it!
@andyfoxable I am already subscribed. The Spintechs sound excellent. Do you have an SCT tuner? Can tunes or dyno tunes? I guess its dyno tuned since you have the horsepower numbers, right?Thats alot of horsepower for a naturally aspirated engine. Sounds good!
@andyfoxable I have done alot of work to the car so it ends up where the car and the exhaust tone sounds different when the car is hot/cold. The biggest difference is between the 93 tune and the 87 tune. But, go to my two videos where I drive off so you can hear it for yourself.
@andyfoxable My car was dyno tuned. Difference being they used real time data to cumtom make my files. My 87 oct tune has the engine running with more lobe in it. The 93 oct file runs like the timing is far advanced and it sounds like it is. The two tunes make it sound like two different cars. My car sounds incredible when hot. To get air into the combustion chamber I installed a CAI, TB spacer, 56mm TB, & a VAP intake spacer. To burn off any pre-ignition/combustion I am using a Screamin Demon
@andyfoxable I have a Screamin Demon coil with Granatelli MPG wires and use Autolite copper core plugs. Those three components together help iliminate any knock at all with any octane gasoline. But yeah, in person it sounds alot better because you dont hear the vibration sounds.
I finally found a custom mustang shop, all the do is mess with mustangs and are a cash only place. I'm woking on getting it cammed, hopefully around October
@womkeith Nice,-Which set of gears inside, 4.10 or 3.73? I've heard that an aftermarket aluminum driveshaft makes a huge difference to the feel of the car.
sequential tail lights :D

Oh, also, how loud is the exhaust?
freakelectronica 1 month ago
@freakelectronica The exhaust is loud. I can hear the car coming and going a few blocks away. It's loud inside the car when over 2200 RPM's.

Cherry Bomb "Extreme" are similar mufflers.

@freakelectronica If you go to my favorites or do a search: "V6 ProChamber" you can hear what one sounds like. He has the FM 44's.

@BiggCee56 Oh my! Yes!! I would check the you-tube videos search for: "SXT Charger V6 single chamber muffler" OR "SXT Charger V6 Cherry Bomb Extreme muffler" OR "SXT Charger V6 Flowmaster 10 series"
Do some searches like that. I really want to hear your Charger after you do it up! Congratulations on the car dude!
