This film is well done and just about takes in everything...at about five times normal speed. I wonder how long the journey took in real time. I have no interest in Stoke-on-Trent, even though I have lived here since I was 7 years old in 1954. I have certainly made no friends here, nor put down any roots here in the past 55 years. But at 2:10, you can catch a glimpse on the right of the former Plaza cinema at Fenton, where I was a projectionist for 20 years between 1962 and 1982.

Saw more in a couple of minutes than I ever did growing up there. People didn't travel so much then. The Potteries I remember was studded with chimneys and obliterated by smoke. By now, it looks like any other town. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing.Probably bad, since it has lost its characterand been over-run by sad planners who can't differentiate between a good building and a dog kennel. Really liked the music- very evocative. Sorry you were ousted from a promising career.
