  • it should be illegal to be this cute! ~♥

  • Cuuuuuuuuttttteeeeeeeee~~~! :3

  • If California's Fish and Game wasn't controlled by nazis I could totally have one!

P.S. The fox is laying down=it feels safe, it's nipping- these animals are ridiculoisly mischeivious and playful. Calm the hell down!

  • Cute ever <3

  • Lol even Fennecs don't like to have their feet petted, I wonder why God programmed canines and felines to generally not like that

  • @ShazamVanBane cus it tickles?

  • That thing is like Gizmo o_o

    sounds the same

    cute, and huge ears

  • "they run away without showing me the tummy if it is unpleasant. "

He's in a cage, so kinda can't run away XD

In comparison, my cat does this when she wants to be left alone. Animals also become upset if cornered.

    *shrugs*

  • Fennecs make a few vocalizations and they can mean different things at different

times. The 'bark' is a low gutteral barking sound reserved usually for when they are upset or threatened. They make a sound like the one in this video that is like a squeal or 'eeeeing' . This generally means “yay! I am so glad to see you!” It may even mean they want to be petted. i highly doubt the fox is upset.

  • I have a feeling that its utterly sad...

  • why the hell is this retard making a big deal of the definition "petting" when he doesnt say in right in a sentence in the first place. lol total generation retard XD

  • @Hybridat0msk Were you being serious? I spend a lot of time around canines, and those weren't bites. However, he certainly wasn't happy.

  • If it bites you, why would you keep bothering it. Some humans are just plain stupid. LEAVE IT ALONE. DUH.

  • @Hybridat0msk its nipping, its being playful. some humans are just plain stupid...

  • @Hybridat0msk if you dont know the behavior of the animal why would you assume its angry or scared...? if that fennec was mad or scared it would lays it ears back open its mouth wide actually try and bite and make a noise that sounds like someone dropped a fork in a garbage disposal.

  • adorable!

  • pet my head human!!

  • *pat pat pat*

  • my god i want one of those sooooo baaaaadly

  • sry but that's not petting .. thats rather annoying

  • @2244number ...learn how to spell FENNEC, you idiot.

  • Whats that sound that sounds like a puppy? Is that the fox?

  • pleased? for me that fast bite looked nasty :)

  • @planetrics IDK about that. I've played with a cocker spaniel like that before, and she ended up getting rowdy and nipping like that too. In my experience with animals, when they are unhappy, they make it very clear. That little bite you are referring too looked like a warning nip more than anything else. It just looked like the fox didn't want him to touch his tummy. But who knows. I could be wrong.

  • Hey tree huggers.. knock knock.... get the fuck out of here.

  • awwe, so cute :3

  • this is sad.

  • obviously the owner is hurting the animal. look at the suffering. i'm sure this fox would be better off on a desert in 50 D. Celsius getting water and food once every week.

  • @FFS1NICO

    YOu suck

  • @xJezika no.

  • @FFS1NICO WTF ?? what proof do u have ?! don't write stupid things when u don't know what ur talking about

  • @kimdfournier he is being sarcastic obviously and if you are too im sorry for thinking of you as a retarded jerk.

  • People are saying that foxes and wolves aren't like dogs. EXACTLY. There's two sides to your point, and you're only giving one. You're saying that it's not going to act like a dog, but here you are saying things like "it's ears are back, it's scared!" or "it's biting, it's scared!" and " it's crying, it's scared!" guided by dog actions. If you're saying it's not like a dog, don't interpret it's actions like a dog....

  • @fondantfreak08 but he is right... dog, fox, wolf etc have very similar body language. And that fast bite wasnt too nice either. So I just have the feeling that poor animal is not feeling well in that cage

  • I hate when people think they know what their talking about when they don't. Obviously the fox and poster have a very goo relation. Too all the people saying they want one, don't be stupid. Unless you physically, mental, and financially able to take care of certain types of animals, don't get them. It pisses me off to see comment s about people wanting an animal, getting it and knowing nothing, then getting rid of it.

  • They act exactly like my cat - playing with your fingers and mewling.

  • @Shaestel FINALY! some one with some since! thank you, for not being a troll. X3

  • i have a small chihuahua the same color and size as a fennec i would love to own one of these as well but i dont think i could have two furry loveballs hyped out spazzing around the house all day

  • He's grahmpy!!

  • im tin the process of trying to get one theyre so adorable!

  • Gizmo.

  • These things should be illegal to own.

Their cuteness is obviously a biological weapon. My proof is the 108 people who died of a heart attack and thus wound up disliking this video.

  • @TowaruTsura

lol I guess their ghosts disliked the video

  • Do want

  • i want one c:

  • what an adorable fox :)

  • *flop*

    Luv, plz! ^_^

  • if i were u i would be rubbing up against it and gritting my teeth and making cuddling noises

    that thing is soooo cute

  • are these foxes legal to own in the us. i want one.

  • It's so cute!

  • It's like just pet me please lol

  • @unicornlover247, @atomicfurriesglobal, @FauxPas091, ITSOVR18

You know what, this is a pointless argument. This video was taken 4 years ago; all that should really matter is that the foxes are properly taken care of and happy. Based on his more recent videos, I'd say he's doing a great job of raising them.

Sorry for starting/fueling all of this meaningless drama.

  • Gotta love all the people on youtube who flame videos like this. If it was scared, it wouldn't expose itself - it would defend itself. An animal doesn't show all of its weakest points to an enemy. This is common sense that you'd know if you tried to learn more about animals than you do from the occasional visit to Animal Planet.

If you really love animals, you'd do your homework before bashing videos like this. The only type of activist you people are are ignorant ones.

  • Comment removed

  • I find it funny that everyone keeps making bad comments about this and how the animal is unhappy. Please go away if you have no idea what you're talking about. This is not a wild animal it was raised by a breeder who would take precautions to domesticate the animal before anyone could but it. If you released the animal into the wild it would probably die. Foxes have different noises and they act differently than dogs. And no they aren't solitary creatures they enjoy a lot of attention.

  • @ITSOVR18 I wish people would stop pretending they now about Fennec Foxes when they clearly don't know the first thing about them. So kindly shut your mouth if you don't know what you're talking about. You're just making yourself look like an idiot.

  • fox looks so playful :3 cute

  • looks like my chihuahua

  • Comment removed

  • that was not happy, that was scared sumissive!!! you can tell the ears were back and the fennec was whinning!!!!

  • @unicornlover247

That whining is infact murring. It is actually enjoying it. It trusts the person, hence exposing underside.

  • @AtomicFurriesGlobal but notice at 0:21 that it pushes the hand away

  • @unicornlover247 Dude. Its possibly trying to play. Or maybe it is not in the mood until it gets into the patting. Stop acting like you know how the animal feels. If it does not want it and is scared it would be pretty obvious. But it isn't scared!

  • @christineyoyop yes it is scared and im not acting like i know what it feels like, i know what it does that body language of it tells me its scared and or annoyed. if you dont know what your talking about i strongly suggest you but out.

  • @unicornlover247 Look at ANY video of ANY domesticated fox, they ALL act this way when excited.

  • @unicornlover247 It pushed the hand away because the hand was on its mouth

  • @InvaderMel2 nvm im not going to say anything anymore

  • If it was not happy, it would probably violently react.

  • aww cute,is it playing with u?

  • Tests have been conducted to breed out aggressive behaviour producing a form of domesticated fox, which have strange coat colourations indicitive of other domesticates such as cats and dogs....I read an article where a fennec fox owner had problems with their fox scratching at the floor, ripping up carpet, shitting and pissing in the house. That is what I mean by "wild tendancies" doing what they normally do in nature. Apparently one can legally own a Capybara, which is fucking crazy.

  • I am now rolling around in a fetal position, squeeing like a little girl. SO. DAMN. ADORABLE.

  • Apparently all the flaws haven't been "worked out yet". not a fan of owning wild animals....it is cute though. *and what I mean by flaws is wild tendancies.

  • @AnthraxInjections hey, being a wild animal is not a flaw. i love fennecs and i want to take care of one too, but my boyfriend wants a ferret, so idk how thats gonna work out...... =/

  • @SamariLung critter corner has ferrets and fennec foxes

  • he/she's SO CUTE!!!!!!!!!! dang it...now you made me want one:3

  • 0:34 did it just tried to bite you?

  • Adorable little thing. :-) You own him/her or was that in a Vet Center?

  • It makes the CUTEST EFFING NOISES EVER! :DDD

  • This fox obviously loves you. I WANNA HUG IT AND LOVE IT FOREVER.

  • @carrotsarepeopletoo o__O How do people completely misunderstand animal emotions like that? -.-' That fox is scared to death, I'm not saying the owner is doing anything wrong, I'm just saying that this fox is not showing love.

@unicornlover247 Exactly, yet people think "Awww! It's rolling over because it want it's tummy rubbed! How cute!!" *facepaw*

  • @PKMR25

Erm it's not scared to death, I've seen a fennec fox scared to death and that is NOT how they act.

  • @AtomicFurriesGlobal >.> Not sure if I wanna know how you know what a fennec fox looks like when it's scarred to death. Anyways, I was just exaggerating; that fox, however, it is still scared and showing submission, or at the very least, I guess it could just be extremely nervous...

  • @PKMR25

Watch the option in the sidebar called pissy little Fennec, that's what they act like if cornered. It's not scared, my dog (When alive) would roll onto it's back. Yes it's submission. Submission = it sees you as dominant in the family structure. That's a good thing with pets. Ever read the papers and see "dog killed child" or "dog bites person"? That's because those dogs see themselves as dominant. A wolf rolls onto its back, showing it's underside to show it trusts another.

  • Reason being is that's the softest area, and makes it easy to go for the throat. Learn your Canid and Vulpes behaviour before you try to be smart.

  • @AtomicFurriesGlobal Well, first off, I'm for your loss. Second, dogs are different then foxes and wolves; they've been bred overtime with human contact, making them more social and trusting. Wolves and vixen are wild, so you can't really say they behave in the same manner...

Putting that aside, it looks like the fox attempt to bite the handler a few times, though I wouldn't know if it's just a playful behavior or if it felt threatened but was too scared to or unable to actually injure him.

  • @PKMR25

I think you'll find much of the behavior is simmilar with Fennec foxes, being a social Vulpes, 5% of the dogs today are in fact thought to be originated from foxes as oppose wolves. Each fox has its own personality, like most dogs. It's not however showing traits of actual agression. The owner knows how to take care of the said Fennec.

  • @PKMR25 You're an idiot.. Go watch more videos of fennec foxes.. or foxes in general. That noise is akin to a cat purring, they ALL act freaked out when they're excited. Other animals do it too. Maybe if you would have taken five seconds to watch pretty much any other video, you could have prevented yourself looking so stupid.

  • @PKMR25 What?????? I had to write an essay on these things in... I don't know, some time in elementry school. If they expose their underbelly, then they feel safe. If they feel threatened, then they'll fight. Thats what fennecs do. It' very compterable right now.

  • and yes fennecs are being hunted for their skin. i think it is better for them to be pets as a last resort. rlly, u make a big deal over this? so, they dont have to starve in the winter from lack of prey or die from malnourishment, or worry about predators, and they cant be hunted if they're pets. isnt that much better than being killed so someone can have a nice rug or a new fur coat? if i were a fennec, i think id like captivity over death, thanks.

  • @Rarogne1926 Not exactly true. We were unable to buy our cat food for awhile, and this was before he started going for the dog food, and he still came back to sleep with me at night until I got him cat food again.

  • @starshine94 Same goes for my cats..and I have four of them. My dog doesn't care he bows to the cats lmao.

  • @Rarogne1926 So dogs and cats domesticated themselves, right? No one complains how we domesticated those animals and took them from the wild. I can understand orcas because they are VERY violent animals. But these foxes are not dangerous. Just mischievous. Domesticating these animals are saving their lives. They don't live long in the wild and have to worry about surviving. When domesticated, they get pampered and live long, happy lives.

  • I'm looking up all of these adorable little animal videos when I should be searching for music, lol. Jah knows I love the animals! Cute fox

  • Listen up, retards, if the Fennec was biting him because he was being annoyed, the dude would be missing a finger.

  • @animekid200 EXACTLY

  • @animekid200 dude its a fennec fox... both my cats are small and they're bigger than that thing. the most it could do to a grown man is make a bruise and draw blood, MAYBE but pretty not likely make i little scar. XD

  • Fennec Fox Teeth rip rodents to shreds before eating them, they are goddamn vicious when the're angry and can cause serious harm to Human Skin.

  • @animekid200 k well i know the nip when they're happy even if its kinda uncomfortable it means ur accepted into the 'pack' and its just like what horses do. i have the feeling that ppl could tell the fox was gettin mad enough to b vicious quite a while b4 it started attacking and stop doin whatever was makin the thing mad...

  • Exactly, which is why is large number of comments who think it's being annoyed aren't using their heads.

  • @Rarogne1926 Fennec's are dying out in the wild from being hunted by people. If people did not start taking them in as pets and learning more about them then they would be going extinct by now.

  • @drjamyma Three! Three retards! Ah, ah, ah!

  • @ForcedToSignUp Two! Two retards! Ah, ah, ah!

  • omggg!!! so KAWAII!! i really want a fennec fox!

  • Its so cute

  • Aww he's cute. What's his name?

  • aww i want a little fennec baby

  • Guys, shut up and don't flame the poster for something you know NOTHING about!

Jeez, they obviously did their homework on the before they got one, idiots. Stop acting like you know anything about feenec foxes.

Cute fox, by the way :3

  • @2244number foxes behaveior is much different then dogs or cats

what looks like a pissed fox is actually a VERRY CERRY happy fox

and add the murring is a verry verry verry verry happy fox

    nough said

  • For some reason I want one of these, but I just know I would be like "STFU STOP SCREAMING."

  • What a miserable existence.

  • ive been asking my mum for one for ages

  • @Skittywolf I'm not debating this stuff anymore, you guys do whatever you want. Wake the fuck up on your own time.

  • @drjamyma Good, cause you don't know shit about animals from what I've ready.

You're the one that needs to wake the fuck up. Go troll somewhere else

  • @GraveKeeper613 Then don't feed me faggot.

  • @drjamyma Madbro?

    So cute :3

  • Cuteness overload!!!

  • my dog does the same its a sign of trust showing you thier soft underparts which you could easily injure them with acess too

  • IT IS RAINING OUTSIDE. :O

  • awww hes like "stooooop wiff mah feets.. do mah tummy!"

  • Naw I wish I could have one but Im in a different country :( and they not alowed...SAD!

But this is super cute :D

  • lol 0:35 is like something out of alien X3

  • To be honest..as long as the animal is happy and treated well then there's no reason why one can't be kept as a pet.. it's not animal abuse if it's happy and healthy. People shouldn't say bad things to the owner since they are the ones looking after the animal so well.

  • Fennec foxes may look cute, but they are not domesticated and even if they are raised with human handling they are very unpredictable, which is important to keep in mind if you want to get one (assuming they are allowed where you live).

  • so cute *0*

  • @arevia112 You people are retarded, who is writing these facts? You fuckers are going to believe anything you read that permits you to take one of these things away from the wild to keep it in a cage. You can't compare this a domesticated animal like a cat (who by the way doesn't bite me when its "happy") because it's WILD ANIMAL. You guys are like Elmyra Duff from animaniacs from back in the day.

  • @drjamyma Yeah man it's so heartbreaking to watch the horrible abuse this fox is enduring in the video. Someone needs to save him before he gets pet to death.

  • @drjamyma You're clearly an idiot

  • @drjamyma If I pet my cat for a while and he starts purring and then lays down by me, he randomly bites me then goes back to purring, cats, dogs, and FOXES do the same thing.

  • @drjamyma Actually, Cat's DO nip when their happy. Bite, no, Nip, yes. It's how they play. My cats run up and smack my hand or nip at it all the time when they want attention.

  • @drjamyma Actually, Fennec foxes are the only foxes who can be kept as pets. Think of it this way- half are wild, half are domesticated. Baby and full grown canids do nip when they are happy and bite/scratch when they are angry. Playing behaviour is common, including among adults of the species. Also, you should see how limited their living range is. The range is from Morocco through to Egypt, as far south as northern Niger and as far east as the Sinai Peninsula and Kuwait.

  • @Aveiraslover silver foxes can be kept as pets too. They have become more dog like from what I read

  • @alexisdeshaeross actually, Silver Foxes were bred to be domestic, that is why they are more dog-like than fox-like.

  • vocal lil guy isnt he lol

  • AWWWWW FUCK WHERE DO I GET ONE !!!!!

  • looks more like it wants to play, but i wouldnt know, dont own 1

  • Dude thats fucking adorable!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @TheLuckyLilyLucyShow :35 what's that? The rest of the world isn't 970 or so people. Believe and like whatever you want. The whole situation is pathetic and sad.

  • @drjamyma That's what fennec's do when they are happy, have you ever pet a cat and had it nip at you if you got too close to something that was sensitive? Same idea here. It was happy to be pet on the head and all fennec's make a purring/cooing noise to show they are pleased. Get your facts straight before you assume it's abuse.

  • I've always thought of foxes as dog/cat hybrids. I mean, they have the playful/cute tendencies of a puppy, and they keep relatively clean like cats. and their paws are like cat's too, the way the claws splay causing the claws to show.

  • soooo CUTE<333

  • Awwwww~! He's so sweet! c: You're so lucky! >v=<

  • :3 so cute

  • Dogs and cats were wild as well once.

You still get wild cats and dogs, just the foxes aren't quite so far along in being domesicated as to them.

  • robeyta doesn't want all you muppets abusing him with bad comments, get out!!!

  • how could someone not love it! its so adorable! and those 101 people probably abuse their own animals or just hate these cute little furry bastards :)

  • someone doesn't like their feet touched.

  • Does he live in a cage???

  • @Animalkisser these must be caged when not attended. they are very inquisitive and are great escape artists.

  • OHMYGOD How'd you get it? o3o I want one

  • ADORABLE!!!!!

  • adorable, but the fox is like, "it ain't that kinda party".

  • This reminds me of my cat! She's a feral Maine coon that likes to attack, but if you tap the top of her head it's like a tranquilizer

  • With just a little ranch dressing

  • Looks like the fox DOESN'T want to be touched! It's kicking the hand away!

  • @jpandpcdorn obv trying to play. you obv never owned a cat or dog before.. zz

  • @jpandpcdorn foxes dont act like cats and dogs those arnt whimpers those are happy sounds. the fox was happy and playing!

  • @jpandpcdorn

if youve ever owned a pet that has four legs and fur, youd know that this is how they show playfulness or affection

  • @ninjaboy552 Actually, even within the realm of truly domesticated animals, responses can vary wildly. The sitcom Fraiser made Jack Russell terriers very popular as apartment dogs, but they are actually working dogs completely unsuited for such a lifestyle, with a reputation of being very aggressive. My point is that you can't expect an animal to act cute and friendly just because it looks cute and friendly.

  • @ninjaboy552 yeah

  • Does anyone know if these are good animals for pets?

  • @SummerFinnlove They're ... complicated. You have to let them have their space. It might be tame, but it's still wild. Give it a lot of room to run around in (not the backyard cause they can dig). They'll tear your shit up while you're gone, if they can get at it. If you give them a chance to escape, they will, and they won't come back. I wouldn't do it, I think it's immoral :P

Just get a cat, or a small dog or something. There are domestic foxes, but they're silvers, and they're expensive.

  • Sure is cute... but doesn't look like they make really good pets.

  • OMG I want to eat it too! ;D

  • i use the word snooching for my cats. it means petting for me.

  • Fiesty isn't he? LOL

  • I just can't get why you keep touching his eyes, nose and paws... no animal likes it , and the fact that he didn't bite you doesn't mean he liked that (and it clearly looks like he tried to keep your hands away, to me). Otherwise, cute vid.

  • @MyobiMarishka

    - he's playing, they don't have hands or thumbs... thats how they play.

  • I want a fennec ^^

  • Until it grows up.....

  • @ladylionfish751 Oh dear god -_- It's a full grown fennec fox.

  • @feneqfox go back to grammar school
