it would have taken a long time for high adrenaline levels to hurt peter, as the suit was eating the adrenaline. Adrenaline over dose can damage your body but this takes time i.e. you would have to have a high adrenaline level for a prolonged period of time, and since the suit was eating it.... I would like to see a "What If" comic on peter keeping the suite.

in the original comics the black suit wasn't evil, peter was xenophobic when he found out that the suit was alive, and he tried to kill the suit. The suit responded the same way a small (and very powerful) child might. Just think what might have happened if peter had been just a little more open minded....

@kludge000 your kidding right? the suit was changing him and was trying to permanently bond with him. In the comics the suit feeds off the of the adrenaline of the host. Once the suit had taken all of Peters adrenaline then he would've either died or wouldn't ever be able to use his powers again. I'll agree with you that the suit wasn't really evil due to how it was just in its nature but imo anything that feeds off of negative emotions and amplifies them isn't a good thing.
