I wasted 70 on special edition and i went at 12 a.m. to get the game on a school night. i was soo excited to get it then once i started playing it was like "what?" and it turned out to be such a bad multilayer experience i was so disappointed but i think now people are finally realizing how bad it is.

In my opinion, GoW2 really isn't that bad. The only problem is lag which just fucking sucks, last week I was so lucky, I got host like 25 times in a row, then it ended and I went from having a +20 KD to +3 :(
i hat the games dodgy damage consistency its so RUBBISH i can get meleed and instantly downed 4 taking a 1 pistol bullet but then i can pumpa fullshot gun blast into a guy pointblank and he then 2 pieces u and the chainsaw just FAIL.
i get a no-lagg connection about 50-60% of the time, which is riduculous, why didnt they just do what every other clever game manufacturer do and get servers? but no, they deicded a laggy host network was a better idea, so now it takes ages to get a game, and when u do the host can rarely be killed unless u sneak up on him or chainsaw!
well at least the smoke doesnt have that impulsive blast like it use to. (use to be too powerful) and shotgun kinda got better so the game got better so it doesnt suk really
Yeah you're right, I should learn not to shot my shotgun 4 times into a guy, I should learn not to shot my boomshot directly into a guy because he wont die, I should learn not to go near the chainsaw because it has a vacuum and also you can't escape it.

@DudeHuge sorry bro, the hit detection itself isn't crap, and the game is not random....it's the fact that it's lagging...sure on your screen you shot someone, but on their screen there are no longer in the spot where you shot, therefore they take no damage...the only thing that really makes this game not rise to it's full potential is LAG

Also, when I play with BOTs sometimes it's offline so no online is in my game. So explain that? It's not fucking lag.

(P.S. you don't need host since they won't be moving)

I am sorry but this game is beyond laggy. It has been the most laggy game I have every played. Besides lag it has too many unbalancing glitches and many methods to exploit the game. The weapon physics are crap. I never eve seen so much lag and glitching (online) like in this game. Why would I have to slide from wall to wall to make my shotgun kill with one shot? Stupid....but more stupid are the nerds who do this shit. Especially the laggers and glitchers.

Why are people saying that cliffy ruined the greatest game ever with the 2nd one? The 1st gears was just as shitty with the same old glitches and broken gameplay mechanics. It was never good to begin with. What the hell is wrong with these people?
Um. well dude that is your thoughts on Gears of War 1, there may have been a few flaws and the gameplay but it still presented a whole new experience (especially online) to a large number of people. Oh, and btw, pretty much the only glitches that affected gameplay was the roadie run and the kung fu flip in which people could hide outside the map. Gears 1 was good in the eyes of many people.

True, every game has glitches, but most of them are found and fixed when the company releases a beta. Epic decided not to have a beta so the glitches are their fault. Not only that, but there are huge gameplay flaws that a beta would have unearthed.
If you truly have played a lot of the second one and really do enjoy it, then I'm guessing you weren't a big fan of the first one.

Playing it on casual is a crap experience, you don't even have to take cover, and it's a cover based shooter. Also it did not take hours and hours to complete it on insane but you wouldn't know that would you. I did play the game online seen the amount of problems with it and was disgusted that EPIC allowed them to pass QA, i used to work as a games tester so it pissed me off even more, also my K/D ratio is good it's just there are too many problems and EPIC had no excuse this time round.

The new maps are not better, one is from the PC version of the first Gears of War, another one is from part of the single player campaign in Gears 2 and the other one is just plain shite. Also they all have a dull brown/gray colour pallette and we are still yet to see any cool night time maps in the rain liks Gears 1 had. Also my stats are fine, it's 10x easier to get kills in Gears 2 than it was in Gears 1.

I am sorry but this game is beyond laggy. It has been the most laggy game I have every played. Besides lag it has too many unbalancing glitches and many methods to exploit the game. The weapon physics are crap. I never eve seen so much lag and glitching (online) like in this game. Why would I have to slide from wall to wall to make my shotgun kill with one shot? Stupid....but more stupid are the nerds who do this shit. Especially the laggers and glitchers.

Um people should realise he's the designer director and lead designer meaning he does not oversee these issues so it's not his fault it's everyone who playtested i mean evveryone who sat on there ass and pretend to playtest i don't want a shotgun that shoots directly at the ground or a sniper that barely registers or the lag or glitches well i can say a lot but hey well at least i got gears 1 and cod4 and 5 and well everything else gtfo gow2 go get a real patch and some decent matchmaking.

Um. well dude that is your thoughts on Gears of War 1, there may have been a few flaws and the gameplay but it still presented a whole new experience (especially online) to a large number of people. Oh, and btw, pretty much the only glitches that affected gameplay was the roadie run and the kung fu flip in which people could hide outside the map. Gears 1 was good in the eyes of many people.

My comment on ignorant didn't come from the fact that you don't like the game it game from the fact that you stated "what the hell is wrong with these people" as if there is something wrong with anyone that likes the game. I found THAT ignorant. The glitches in GoW I really never got as bad as being able to shoot a shotgun while cover with a shield and being able to turn invisible and still be able to kill your enemies. The glitches in GoW I was nothing compared to being able to do that.

I remember I was very hyped for GOW2 I finished the campaign it was kinda fun(the story was fucking crap, "where's my wife?" and "Kill everything that moves.") and after that I got so pissed of by multiplayer and by the 6th day I played GOW2 I went back to GOW1

1) You cant blind fire with shotgun cos it either dont shoot at all or shoots the floor instead and dont work point blank?
2) ONLINE you cant melee attack the chainsaw away at all.

He's not an attention seeker, he's trying to call people to his cause. I understand, and I'm with the guy. True, every game has glitches, but most of them are found and fixed when the company releases a beta. Epic decided not to have a beta so the glitches are their fault. Not only that, but there are huge gameplay flaws that a beta would have unearthed.
If you truly have played a lot of the second one and really do enjoy it, then I'm guessing you weren't a big fan of the first one.

Playing it on casual is a crap experience, you don't even have to take cover, and it's a cover based shooter. Also it did not take hours and hours to complete it on insane but you wouldn't know that would you. I did play the game online seen the amount of problems with it and was disgusted that EPIC allowed them to pass QA, i used to work as a games tester so it pissed me off even more, also my K/D ratio is good it's just there are too many problems and EPIC had no excuse this time round.

The new maps are not better, one is from the PC version of the first Gears of War, another one is from part of the single player campaign in Gears 2 and the other one is just plain shite. Also they all have a dull brown/gray colour pallette and we are still yet to see any cool night time maps in the rain liks Gears 1 had. Also my stats are fine, it's 10x easier to get kills in Gears 2 than it was in Gears 1.
