@lordsardonicvids Thanks for watching. Yeah, I'm on the mend. Had to have shoulder surgery, so I'm stuck riding with the bike mounted on the trainer in my living room for a while, but I'll still be riding in the Triple Bypass this summer for the National Kidney Foundation!
It took some kahonas to go back and do it again, especially with the obvious ice spots in the shadows. It's an amazing ride, and the one that put you down doesn't even look like the worst of the challenges. It was just the one with the lethal surprise.
I do hope the surgery is minor, and your recovery quick and painless.
It will be a painful surgery with a relatively long recovery, but it could be a lot worse. They're using a different technique than was used on my other shoulder 3 years ago, which should have a far shorter recovery time and better results. I'll be on the indoor trainer for a while, but should be able to start back outside on the bicycle in a couple of months. In any case, I've been through worse.
Thanks, Moose. The way I see it is that life is full of risks and challenges, and if I allow them to keep me down, I'll miss out on enjoying a lot of things, and I'll always have regrets. By confronting them and moving forward, I conquer my fears, and I can experience some truly amazing things.
OH NO you crashed your bike and i didn't even know about it!?!?
Well that sucks. I hope you are on the mend now!
"Bike-cam" awesome (and scary...) idea too!

Thanks for watching! Yeah, the mountain does have it's dangers, but you're right, it could have been far worse. Thank goodness for helmets!
I do love the ride, though. I like anything outdoors in open, natural places.

LOL, yeah. Thanks for helping with the conversion from .mov format. No idea why Nikon chose THAT particular container for the video.

Thanks. Means a lot. Don't worry too much. I'll recover quickly and be back out there tearing up the roads before you know it!
