we played this song in angry samoans live sets all through 1986 into 1987. it got booted because "you're not playing it right!" w/no volume dynamics, mangled etc. so it was forgotten/banished and never recorded in 1986-87. it could've/should have been the big "cheesy college radio hit" off of the STP NOT LSD album (which didn't have one) and...ok, our band might've been "the next Lemonheads." but w/just one major label small-budget album that bombs (you can ask lotsa bands for that grim tale).
if you can imagine jeff mcdonald of Redd Kross singing this ("i can't get up and now it's too late/ got a degree i can't keep a job/ i'm falling asleep i'm a lazy slob") in 1986 it would have been CLASSIC. the lead vocal here has the right idea but still sucks rats ass. hey it's the best i could do with a 50min budget per vocal track (song). i don't think it would have gotten any better but that's what all us punk rock loosers always say when they're getting itchy to go home and watch TV.
