lol I was looking for "The Bucket List"'s part when Jack Nicholson sing I've Got A Feeling I'm Falling while skydiving and I found this... Gorgeos song! And it reminds me something I heard from the Ink Spots.... Love this song! Thums up :D
(Then, of course, there are twits like 'trufiend138' who apparently has what taste he has in his mouth, an I.Q. the size of his shoe and a mother who was negligent in not washing his mouth out with lye soap.)
Just Beautiful!!! & I Agree With buzzbaybear, Wish ANYONE Would post Cheerieo Cheery Lips. I`ve Looked For This Song For 15 Years Now & Can`t Find It. Thanks For Posting This Anyhow.
A lovely version of my favourite Waller song -the tune is so good it demands the best from any performer. Armstrong played and sang it wonderfully well but for me the Miff Mole version goes with me to the desert island.
Originally recorded in March 1929, even though Fats Waller's piano did NOT appear on this recording [he merely co-wrote the tune]. Yes, Ben Bernie appeared on radio for Pabst in 1932, even though the brewery did NOT manufacture beer, due to Prohibition being in effect at the time; they did market MALT EXTRACT, an essential ingredient in brewing "homemade" beer, which most people did indeed indulge in...
Love this guy's smooth croon-a quintessential radio voice. I wish someone would post his Cheerio Cherry Lips- (which he recorded under the pseudonym Gordon Wallace)
Yowzah! Yowzah! Yowzah! (as Bernie "the Old Maestro" would say) Great Version of this wonderful tune. I have the Annette Hanshaw of this on Harmony. Harold "Scrappy" Lambert was a prolific singer for all labels back in the 1920's and 30's, including ARC (Romeo, Banner,Regal etc... somestimes as Buddy Gravelle, LeRoy Montesano, and under his own name too. Jack Pettis was part of this band. Look for his records as Jack Pettis and his Pets on ARC or as Jack Pettis and his Orch. On Victor.
Another great hotel orchestra, very mellow version of the song. The Roosevelt is still there; I know because I stayed there about a month ago when visiting NYC. But no orchestra...

The more I hear of Ben Bernie and his group the more impressed I become. He did some really great work and is very easy to listen to and enjoy.

A famous and very well known song in it's day. This version is very cool. I am very impressed that you have such 'clean' copy of the Brunswick.
