The movie was really well done considering it deals with the senses. It was incredibly human and engaging, but there when they exit the quarentine it feels like the end and it loses the climax of realising what the world had become. I'm going to read the next book, 'Seeing'. Hopefully it'll be just as exce;;ent as 'Blindness'. =)

The blindness is supposed to be blindness of the spirit or something, about how humans are not kind to strangers. Thats why when the Doctor's wife is kind to all these strangers, the white sickness suddenly disappears at the end of the novel.

We just continue living our lives, ignoring all that. When they get blind, they start to see the world differently, not with superficial ways.
And its not just that. When the doctor got blind, he tells his wife that, after so many time married, he finally can see her. He starts to note her as a person, not as his wife. The same happens with the woman with dark glasses. She decides to live with the old man, even with his old age. Blind, she didnt mind his color, his appearance, his age. She just saw him as a person. And the doctors'wife didnt get blind because she was the only one in the world that could see without her eyes.

Fiquei espantada com os ratings, três estrelas só? Não vi o filme, mas gsto imenso do trailer, tem uma boa fotografia, inspirado num bom livro, tem todos os factores para ser um bom filme.
Não é um filme americano, temos pena, convém apostar em "coisas nossas", quero msmo ver este filme.
Mas claro, os americanos tinham d ter algo de negativo para dizer =X, existem filmes óptimos, portugueses, brasileiros e de outros paísses mas claro, não conseguem a popularidade que deviam de ter =X
