  • Saw him several times at The Marble Bar in Baltimore. R.I.P. Marble Bar & Root Boy.

  • I saw this amazing character when I was in college in Washington DC in 1979. It was one of the funniest concerts I've ever seen BUT, the level of muscianship was very very high. I believe the sax player was named Ron Holloway who was a local jazz guy in DC. Thanks for posting !!!!!!!!

  • One of the best rythym sections north of the mississippi or anywhere.

  • smoked a joint with Root Boy at the Marble Bar in the Congress Hotel in downtown Baltimore in '82, while he was doing the show........kept coming over to our table between stanzas and hittin' it.

  • It was always great when Root would play this live and invite to fattest people in the audience onto the stage. Goddamn I miss Root.

Also saw him once at an Oriole game in Memorial Stadium. When I acknowledged him he was quite gracious
