  • The D- before their name means DUUUUUUUUUMB @ $ $ !

  • Hey Frank, your full of shit!

  • "We can count things two, three, four times"... that must be GAAP: GOVERNMENT'S Accepted Accounting Principles, not Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. At this point in history, Chris Christie, Ocean City, and a couple golf courses are among the few things keeping me from being completely ashamed of New Jersey.

  • New name for him 'Frank (i can count imaginary money twice) Pallone.'

  • @ConservativeWatchdog "I think you can count things many times". .........must be crazy.

  • Go to Facebook and join, Paul Ryan for President! Help convince him to run! He's the only won who can lead this Nation back to stability!

  • The dude responding to Ryan just sounded Ridiculous, Way Out in the Twilight Zone - he made No sense at all.

  • I am in the Medical field, and know that the illness prevention items in this bill will Not work any better than any Other prevention tips have worked in the Past.

People nowadays are Much better informed than previously, but the general public health is Not better, Because people continue to make poor choices re Diet and Exercise. 'obammie care' will Not change that.

  • @maciindrew your chart is a riot. You don't understand who holds the checkbook. It's the House, not the President. Spending went up under Reagan and Bush Sr. because the Democrats controlled the House; it went down under Clinton because the Republicans controlled the House. Haven't you heard of the "Contract with America?"

  • The president signs the check... or "does not" through veto, so yes... the president owns those numbers.

  • How is saving $138 Billion on the new healthcare bill compared to the old one not fiscally responsible?

No, Conservatives are always the BIG SPENDERS... Look at Reagan, he is what started this mess, then Bush Sr... he took the baton, spent far more, then Bush Jr took the cake and spent another $4.9 Trillion we didn't have.

Look at this chart from Treasury Dept Data...

    w w w.lafn. org /gvdc/Natl_Debt_Chart.html

So it's clear you are incorrect.

  • While it is true that Bush was no fiscal conservative, this chart ignores, or hasn't been updated since Obama took office. Obama is on track to spend more money in his first two years as president than Bush did in 8. His deficits are already much larger than Bush's. And Bush's last deficit, though his largest, counts the TARP money as part of the deficit, which has largely been paid back.

  • @maciindrew George Washington was home schooled; Abe Lincoln was self-taught and Harry Truman didn't go to college. Three of the best Presidents we ever had. Education is over-rated; common sense is what we need right now.

  • Yes, and Obama has bushels of it... Thanks...

  • This Healthcare Bill became the Republican's Waterloo.

    Isn't it ironic :) Don't you think?

  • Not according to this video. This guy Pallone obviously doesn't understand accounting 101. Did he actually say "I think you can count the 500 billion dollars many times?" That's exactly why we're broke as a country now, because of chronically ignorant dems like this when it comes to fiscal policy.

  • But the Republicans have caused the debt problem... not the Dems... The Dems are far more frugal than Republicans don't forget, this Chart shows it all...

    Nation Debt Chart

  • Paul Ryan is a freakin genious. The democrats are pulling out tricks that are beyond deceptive practice. From an accounting standpoint, Ryan is ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!!! If people realized that rather than decreasing the deficit, this bill actually raises it to the tune of 700 billion per year to start, and 2.25 trillion after a decade, people would very quickly sour. 2.25 trillion over 225 million taxpayers comes out to 10,000 per taxpayer per year in new taxes!!!

  • .

These Democrats are absolute morons. They only think in fluffy imaginary terms that have nothing to do with the fiscal reality.

    .

  • Except you are forgetting the Dems were the ones to achieve lower taxes because of what passed last night. It's the Republicans that always want to spend, spend, spend.

Repubs are always bad with money, that's why they run up so much debt. So I think everyone is glad the Dems won and now we can all have lower taxes AND affordable health care.

  • Ryan states plain and simply the facts, and Pallone just spews election rhetoric. Nice.

  • Just think: If "Preventative care" REALLY could save millions of dollars, then why doesn't EVERY insurance company mandate it? It could only be more profitable in the long term for insurance companies if they made their policies contingent upon the beneficiary receive preventative care. I'll tell you why it doesn't work like this; Because giving preventative care to everyone is more expensive than treating the diseases that some people receive later in life because they didn't get...

  • Rep. Paul Ryan - is really an excellent congressman. One day I expect he will be a great president!

  • By Pallone's logic I could do the following: I can 2x, 3x, or 4x count the amount of gas savings I would get by buying a brand new Prius until it makes my net loss 0.

  • Proof that you need 'new math' and a hookah to make Obamacare make sense...

  • @dogsborodave which works out because hookahs are covered in California.

  • Oh Yeah, The Government is going to be Wonderful Running Medical Care.

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.............

  • "You can count money two three four times" Ah that explains the numbers representative Palosi loves so much. Count the money over and over until it meets your agenda. Makes perfect sense. Perfect political sense, but no real world sense whatsoever.

How about If I count the taxes I've paid two three four times. April 15 should work out quite well for me if I can say that I've paid four times the taxes than what the IRS might count.

  • youre a good man mr. ryan.

  • Pallone is completly stoned.

  • lol - get your drugs lol

  • I wish that I could count my tax deductions 2, 3 , 4 times. Notice how Mr. Pallone provides us with emotionally-laced opinion, I will side with Mr. Paul's factually based analysis.

  • I saw this live, thank you Paul - you Rock!!! I'm from Virgina, We have your back!
