We both are fighting against the ban together. Shasta being a good embassidor of the breed .Me, saying Shasta is not extraordinary of the breed (except to me of course ;) ) but very typical. I tell about Helen Kellars dog being an APBT & tell them many of the well known HERO dogs & what they did.

Bustard Brown childrens Shoes used the logo of an APBT as did RCA. Spanky and our Gangs famous dog was an APBT, which are some that people can think back about. The Liberal gov is our problem.

Now thanks to Michael Bryant this wonderful service dog and thousands of other wonderful family dogs are muzzled and God forbid if a back fence is left opened for a minute. Bill 132 discriminates and profiles. It murders innocent dogs and makes dog owners 2nd class citizens subject to search and seizure. It is a shameful and prejudical law that needs to be taken off the books. Guilty because of appearance? We have to PROVE our innocence instead of innocent until proven guilty? SCARY.

Shasta wasn't certified prior to the ban. It's only been within 2 years ago & what a fight I had because of her breed even with all the proper certificates & training. It was only the end of /07 that she was finally recognized for her status rather than her breed with much fighting from me.

But as hard as I fight for Shasta, I also fight the same against the BSL & won't quit until it's GONE!

We abide by the law even while working, but she's educating the public how wonderful the breeds are.

The same government that banned her, pays for her monthly Certified Service/Guide Dog Allowance with no charge for her dog annual license. They don't much like me for fighting for our rights, but the Bullie breeds have been in search & rescue, therapy dogs, drug sniffing dog for a long time prior to their bad reputation. Helen Keller used an APBT as her service dog, then called Companion Dogs.
