this "midgetville" was actually built in the 1800s by the European settlers as summertime cottages. It was later abandoned and overgrown and forgotten about until they turned it into a religious camp. It was somewhat revived, but the age of the homes and condition they are in, there wasn't all that much that could be done to restore most of them. Since the christian community isn't all that wealthy, they didn't renovate.
