  • What are they doing to the bell @ 5:01

  • Great Video! Too bad 97 has her 15 year rebuild. I dont doubt the skill of the shop crews though! Can't wait till shes out and about! 3025 is a nice fill in for 97, nice to see new power.

  • @indie1361 How long do you think til shes out?

  • @trainfann1 Hm, i think they mentioned 5 years, but you might want to check the website on that.

  • I LOVE THAT WISTLE

  • I thought steam engines created much mor esmoke then this. I've seen many make much more steam then this one.

  • @cancerman50 thats because most of them have something in the funnel that makes the smoke more clean and less noticeable. and cuz its been restored so its more envirnmental friendly and not billowing black smoke like you see on the steam shay engines

  • njoyed this great movie in webmovietube

  • Taking the Essex Clipper Dinner Train tonight, looking forward to the ride.

  • Great!!!

  • @david245611 love the whistle lol

  • Love that whistle!!

  • That looks like a brilliant railway, I mean Railroad!

    5 stars

  • Nice work!

  • Yeah, I thought I might have seen you there on the day I was there.

  • Awesome video! That whistle is absolutely amazing. Kinda reminds me of the RBMN 425. Great video quality too! *subbed*

  • I rode up in the cab of #97!:)

  • For Hand On The Throttle? Or you just got a cab ride?

  • Just a cab ride.

  • i have been there, it's pretty great. I think you past a house that was used as part of the underground railroad.

  • what type of whistle is that? it sounds pretty nice.

  • That, is an actual (not replicated) New Haven 6-chime whistle. And yes, it's a very nice whistle!

It is a beautiful whistle, in my opinion better than the SP 6-chime.

  • I live in Pennsylvania, but, in the summer, would this be a great railroad to go to?

  • YES! IF you're willing to stay in a hotel or motel because sadly they do 4 trains a day only and I don't think a 4+ hour trip to CT is worth it if you're just seeing four trains... I'd stay in a motel.

This is a GREAT place to go in the Summer, and also the Winter. On weekends there are day trains and night santa trains, and on week days from tues.-fri. there are only night trains.

Santa Special (Day trains): 1:00 PM, 2:30 PM

North Pole Express Schedule(Night trains): 5:00 PM, 7:00 PM

  • ok, ok, thanks, and by the way, you been to the new hope and ivyland railroad?

  • I have, 40 is a hard working locomotive.

  • @csgptg PA? Have you bee to Cass In West Virginia? Wonderful railroad operation.

  • @camaroracer454 no but i've heard of it, and seen some vids of it, i like to go there sometime.

  • @csgptg Yeah no offence to CT lovers, as a Connecticut resident that has been to numerous RR's, I could tell you to take your money and head to Cass, WV. They have the most interesting operation with great history and scenery. They take you up the mountain a 4.5 hour trip to a great view of the mountains. They have alot of switchbacks and they have open granola cars. Its really awesome.
