Those that seek to be first (recognized and honored) will be last (which goes against our selfish human natures). That's why Peter couldn't believe it, his Lord Jesus who he looked up to was breaking his stereotype of a leader. True leaders are humble and serve others, not dictate over them. I would say, you should ask the Father what it means. The holy spirit will reveal what he wants you to get from it, if you seek him and if it is something that you need to know now.
