1 bass was fed mostly these meat pellets, maybe 5-10 a day? They were small when dry but expanded when wet...the fish stuff themselves tho, so you're probably better to underestimate than over. In the wild they probably wouldn't eat as much as you can give it..the last bass was fed feeder goldfish, about 3 a day maybe
if im going to get a tank for a bass, what size tank do you recomend? also, was it hard to keep a bass maintinace wise? and how would i get a bass by catching it or..?
I don't think you can buy a bass anywhere...all the bass he ever had were caught one way or another. As for the size, I can't remember how big that tank is...it was probably about 2.5 or 3ft long, 1.5 ft deep and 2ft high (prbly less)??
yea, i had an oscar. he had a personality. so, did your bass have a HUGE personality? like a dog with fins. or just more personality than a guppy? im trying to get an idea of what to expect.
Hahaha I would say more personality than a guppy...he was so cute! He recognized people, and when he wanted your attention he'd splash around and stuff. He'd hide if there was someone he didn't know, but if it was one of us he'd come right up to the glass face to face with you, and he'd eat his food right out of my fingers
I would think that for the healthiest environment, yes, but I suppose if you are willing to clean the tank often (weekly?), it's not absolutely necessary. This tank has 2 filters, it gets cleaned about once a month
I can't remember how many gallons the tank is, but it's not huge..But we got him when he was very small, just a baby. He's real easy to keep healthy. We have 2 filters, we clean the tank about once a month and put aqua clear in the water when we change it..we feed him these "meat pellets" - he loves them!
When we first got him we started by feeding him these little meat pellets (the brand we use is called Hikari). They're for carnivorous fish. As he got bigger we would buy him medium sized guppies once in a while. But his main diet is those meat pellets..He'll eat them right out of my fingers!
I live right behind a creek in the suburbs and even there I have seen bass I'm thinking about catching them when I learn about taking care of them. Any info on taking care of bass would be great!
What were you feeding it in this video?
