At 1:10, Jim Belushi's quote "AW C'MON!" was later used in the Super NES baseball game, Ken Griffey Jr. Presents Major League Baseball as a losing quote for any baseball player that gets 3 outs during the batting part.
Cooper: Hulse, I want you to put a special mike on him tonight, one that isolates everything he plays from the rest of the orchestra. Carson, you link it into the GBLX 1000 computer.
Maddy: The GBLX?
Cooper: Yeah. That thing'll break any code.
Maddy: But that's in control of our entire missile defense system!
Cooper: Honey, will you please - what are the odds of the Russians attacking on a Thursday night?
TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE YOU NEED TO RENT THIS FIND IT!!! YOULL LAUGH UNTILL YOU PEE ON YOURSELF THIS IS CLASSIC 80S COMEDY THIS IS WHEN THEY MADE REAL COMEY!!!!
I think this is some of Hanks' best work... but he hated this film. I watch it at least 3-4 times a year, and have watched it at least 100 times over the years. Carrie Fisher in a leopard-print bikini doesn't hurt.
@TomKaren1994 What a stupid thing to say.I guess you never seen the movie im talking about but yet you dont think its better.
I could tell you about lots of french things or things from other countries who are better than the american ones but that would be too much for you to handle.
I've looked for it for years... but it's just not out there. The music was by Thomas Newman, who also did the soundtracks for Shawshank Redemption, Cinderella Man, Road to Perdition (Hanks again), Scent of a Woman, Phenomenon, The Green Mile (Hanks AGAIN) and many others.
@TomKaren1994 Oh, it's out there. I nabbed it off of this guy who works in the periphery of the film industry. I just about wet my pants when I found the zip file in my inbox at 11:30 at night.
This film was soooo much better than Bachelor Party. The humor was more subtle and the story and characters were a bit left-of-center but it worked. These were the days when Hanks could still play characters that were goofy, lovable and genuinely funny. After this film, Splash, The Money Pit, Bachelor Party and Volunteers it seemed like Hanks could do no wrong. Then came Nothing In Common and Punch Line. Holy shit, they sucked.
Fun Fact: At the end when Belushi says, "OH C'mon", that is the same soundbite used in the SNES game Ken Griffey Jr. Baseball when you strike out. I knew I had heard that before.
i remember a comedy about a man thinks he kills a lady and he tries to get rid of the body everyway possible but runs into problems and she wakes upat the end. anyone remember the name?
The music you hear is actually taken from the film score of "Max Dugan Returns" (1983) with Matthew Broderick. Nice piece of music to use as a trailer piece.
I don't remember if this was the first Tom Hanks movie I saw or if it was the one where he was running around his neiberhood because the next door people were killers... anyway, this is until today (almost 15 years later) in my top 5 of favorites movies.
is this the film in which all things in this guy's bathroom get mixed up, and the toilet flushes when he tries to get water from the tap, et cetera et cetera?
Thank you! I love this movie. In my opinion, Tom Hanks looks handsome lol, anyways hes a great actor, so i enjoy watching all of his movies. actually i've seeing them all!! :D
