  • It's very shocking what people did to the victims.

  • those white men were evil monsters..

  • THIS IS EXACTLY WHY BLACK-ON-BLACK CRIME PAINS ME TO THE CORE.......

  • Ah Nina Simone now this is good music and a great singer.

  • Unfortunately, the south's attitude towards minorities hasn't changed that much. They may not be bold enough to actually string them up, but they're minds are still as closed and they're "CHRISTIAN" hearts are still as hateful.

  • woow i bet Billie Holiday would say Nina really poured her soul into this rendtion of her song....

  • And.

    when she sings And...

I've listen to this i don't know how many times but don't ever remember sing that picture....

It's- theres not even a word for it. Most of them were CHILDREN for crying out loud. :'C

  • You have alot of typo's in this, but it makes me feel a little ashamed of being white. But then again I did nothing like this and wont. So I cannot be blamed but Im called racist because I don't brown nose black people. That is my problem, these people in these pictures didn't deserve it unless they murdered someone. But then at least shoot them instead of making them suffer. Okay, :(

  • On a side note, I read in a book that the next morning after these lynchings took place, the guilty parties went to church and glorified God in church. The bible has been used to justify these lynchings as well as slavery.

  • were ? still is..........................

  • Let the truth be told! As a race today, we now kill each other. So sad but so true! I can not blame the white race for what was done to us but there is a God and we will all be judged for our actions. The thing that some of us fail to realize is the energy we send out is like a reflection in the mirror, it comes back. It comes back in different forms and fashions; such as ourselves, our children, and our grandchildren, and generations after generations. Yes, we curse the ones we love the most!

  • Black people have endured so much misery and discrimination during history, they had it all, more than any other people. This song really captures it good. such a shame, i feel really bad when i see what white people did to black people, it makes me wanna be black just so i could comfort them and see what they had to go trough...

  • Pourquoi ils se sont fait tuer comme ça? Ah que le monde est injuste!

  • Racist men in jail should get beaten and racist men should get get raped flag if you want but it should be the law

  • :( pisses me off.....

  • I wish someone could force racist bastards to watch this video so they could realise that racism is wrong and cruel.

  • All I wanna say is, I am white, and I could never do anything like that to another man or woman or child!!! Especially over something so stupid, selfish, and ignorant......thats all!

  • I even saw one or two photos with "copyright" written on them. Why would you ever want to copyright something like this?

  • @ZerooOne01 To document history, the good and the hideous.

  • CRYING...........FORGIVE THEM LORD, FOR THEY NOT KNOW WHAT THEY DO.

  • I listen to this song many many times, and i always hace the same feeling like the first time. I love the melody that nina simon creat in every song. Always aways make people feel strange and impressed

  • Great voice

  • Religions were set up to encourage people to lead a good and pure life. Don't blame religion for the problems of the world, blame the people who decide to disrespect other's religions.

  • Never Again!!!!!

  • the song is a poem and it created by Abel Meeropol and billie holiday just mad more amazing :)

  • アメリカ負の歴史。

  • Fuck racism so deep

  • shit... so hard this song... fucking racism... FUCKING WHITE SUPREMACISTS, I REALLY HATE'EM ALL

  • How dare you call this great lady a bitch. What have you done. Her career suffered because she was brave enough to challenge the "status quo". We don't need the "masters" to hurt us anymore because we got people like you to do it for them. We have been called bitches enough to last a live time. You owe Ms Simoine for fighting for your freedom. What have you done besides being a name caller?

  • This video is so sad. watching and listening to the words just made me feel sick to my stomach. people were so evil. good job on putting the video together. it's a deep message

  • she's look like billie holiday.

  • Why would they have children there?

  • This isn't the original of Nina's version. The original is only nina simone singing with a piano in the background. This version has other instruments, where did you get this version??

  • Nina's version is just heartbreaking and touching. I prefer it to Holiday's version

  • Wow! I have listened to this song before but this video has really upset me and brought even more meaning to the deep words.

  • I don't understand or even want to know how can people be so evil. And they gather and laugh and take pictures as if it's some kind of comedy or a family gathering. I just don't understand.....

  • @rockofages28 they also used to have pictures of lynchings as postcards. :(

  • @rockofages28 they also used to have pictures of lynchings as postcards. :(

  • @rockofages28 it was in Abu Ghraib prison

  • Very good.

  • Wow.... I never really listening to the words until now... I just love Nina Simone and this song just really touches me in so many ways. Now it has a whole new meaning to me. Thank you for such a well put together video...

  • @lilhotboz Yeah Simone was a crazy bitch but that deep sorrowful voice is unmatched

  • people are stupid... how can they be so cruel??

  • @Persiansweetcat1 A lot of this comes from religion, if you study the history behind it actually

  • @XforeverlongingX That's a lie. It comes from the human heart. Most religions promote peace, not murder. If you or I chose to murder we can't blame a religion. It is a choice. If you study history you will find GREED and economics were the true reason for slavery, jim crow, and institutionalized racism-- NOT religion. Don't make excuses for wrong doing. Look in the mirror.

  • @comando0220 "Most religions promote peace, not murder." The false assertion in your opening statement tells me exactly where you are coming from. Nothing can be further from the truth than what you have just uttered.

  • yeah religions have always promoted peace... by the sword.

  • @Persiansweetcat1

You answered your question before asking it.

  • @amundb yeah.. it was a rethoric question ;)

  • @Persiansweetcat1

Never underestimate the stupidity of people in numbers
