When uve called 911 and told them the deal, they check around for the nearest

vehicle available to where u are calling from. in this case the big red motherfucker

was closer by than the small trucks. if they wouldve been at the department, they

wouldnt put on thom dresses and they would travel with a smaller truck.

im training to be a fireman and have gone one dozens of ride alongs and i can say the big ass red truck actually helps. people move out of the way and in the truck its law it can park wherever the fuck they want lol. plus its very fast and strong and carrys all the equipment for any situation. and the driver has to be trained specially to handle it so trust me those guys can haul ass with it and handle it like a fucking bmw lol.

There is only a hand full of ambulances available at any given time in your city. The fire department probably has a 3-5 min response. That is why they get there first. They only have a fire truck to respond in. When they clear that medical call, they can be called to a fire & need a fire truck. They are trained not to run. Not to mention that is probably the sixth choking call they had that day and they are not freaked out. They are professionals. You should thank them when you see them.
