I have a plum crazy lower with a DPMS upper, shot about 500 rounds through it with no problems, the only problem is having to take a screw driver and hammer to the back pin when i want to seperate the upper and lower to clean it. because it is very snug, but I hear that, it is a good thing.
Great product. Put over 1000 rounds through mine without one hiccup so far. Mates perfectly to my cmmg m4 upper. Its plastic Blah blah. All you guys saying plastic is wrong on the AR haven't shot one or won't. Contempt prior to investigation never served me well...
How does this matte up a 6.8 SPC upper? I'm looking to lower weight anywhere I can and this is exactly what I've been thinking of. I've always wondered why someone hasn't come up with a polymer style lower since Glock has been doing it now for almost 30 years.
i purchased this lower because of the price but i started having problems from the get go, fcg is shot after 120 rounds, the take down pins are unusually worn out so now there is play between lower and upper. In retrospective i should have gone with an aluminum lower. It is what it is a cheap conglomerate of polymer pieces so save your money and get a real ar lower. JUst my 2 cents
thank you for sharing your experience... I am going to shoot a about 300 rounds this coming weekend... and let you know.... I will try to do a little video of it... so far not problems...
@sigma2atar I havent had one single problem with mine. Well over 500 rounds through it. Perhaps you should rethink you shooting habits. Just my 2 cents.
Well, PC has honored their lifetime warranty. It was pretty quick... they paid for shipping and there was no questions asked... Kinda nervous about shooting it. I've seen 2 busted ones which broke off from where the buffer tube screws in, and 2 triggers the busted (mine was one of'em). Tha's my update with my PC lower situation... I'll let you know how it goes when I shoot with this one... CHEERS!
Just wanted you all to know that I have purchased a PLUMCRAZY with their lifetime warranty. I haven't shot mine yet and while I was testing the function of my AR... guess what? The trigger broke! I couldn't believe it! I have sent a picture to PLUMCRAZY and tried to call multiple times and left messages, and guess what... still no response... I am really disappointed with this product and their service...
Thanks for your review. I am purchasing my Plum Crazy lower this week. My friend works for J.T.T.F. and they just put together a PC lower with DPMS upper and are hammering it, he reports no issue's, unbelievable fit etc... Cannot wait to get mine ready.
Thanks for taking the time to make this video, I been considering this lower. Thanks too for being a fantastic citizen. I have said many times, immigrants too often make better citizens than native born.
The riffle is balanced as any other m4 style carbine... it easy to handle and to bring it to target... the weight on my front hand holding the hand guard is very well balanced
@mohaveminutemen That is not the case when you use with most M4 uppers, my plum crazy lower is so light that now my AR feels very front heavy. It tends to be a nuisance after a while.
I learned about Plum Crazy this morning in a SGN article and now I am going crazy trying to locate a source for this composite receiver assy. Been thinkin bout building up a carbine using the pennies in the pickle jar, and this looks like the answer.
I just bought mine an hour ago & slapped my $1500.00 Yankee Hill upper on it.It is beautifully tight with now rattle or play, it looks awesome. The trigger system is sick & just feels good when you hold the overall rifle in your hands, very lite.I'll be doing a tactical shoot this Thur & can't wait to break it in.
@mohaveminutemen did you have additional parts laying around the house to complete the build?
1. the barrel from sportsmans, is it ready to rock? or does it need drilling and tapping from a 'smith?
2. the upper reciever, was that just a blank?
it seems that you had extra parts laying around to complete this. no flaming you or getting all internet angry, just trying to accomplish the unthinkable: build an ar for under 500 with no additional parts at my disposable. :) thanks
plum crazy ftw! 1000 rounds plus through lower with cmmg upper. No issues. People who talk sh' t about plastic lowers are tb

Thanks for takin' the time to plug these guys...I've been lookin' for a budget lower and this sounds like the one to get.
How's the rifle balanced? Seems like it might be a little off with such a light lower receiver...?

Hey whats up man,I just got my Plumcrazy lower reciever today and I am very impressed with it the weight is unmatched by any other lower.
I paid 150$ for mine at gunshow but im ok with spending a lil extra.
The trigger is so crisp I can't believe the quality for the price.
Anyone who doubts it deff has'nt shot/owned one.
It has a commercial buffer tube which I am replacing with mil-spec for 15$
