they were meant to be the answer the gibsons les paul , but the les paul sold alot more, only 300 ovations were made in 84 i think , and homme got ahold of 3 . he doesnt like gibson les pauls because they're weighted badly and tend to be very off balanced. ovations however are not and have a very good tone
