I own a sportsbike and today I rode with a Swiss couple on an R65 for a good 100 kilometers. The bike left a huge impression on me and I have a new found respect for BMW's standards of engineering.
@snijkens91 Hi there! The R 45/65 UNTIL 1980 have the old Alloy-Airbox, and a choke on the left under the seat. They have a roung airfilter, too. The plate filters from 1980 have a choke on the steer and another airbox...
What grade of oil do you use,and what make and type of battery,what is the AH of your battery,thankyou.

wouldn't twisting the throttle "to give it some gas" not work because the gas is fed with pressure? just wondering
