Well of course she wasn't able to pick up on the dobro or fiddle... those instruments unavoidably require skill to play, whereas it's very easy to get by on a guitar with the same handful or two of chords. I mean, I don't want to knock her down. She writes her own songs, it's great, etc... I just kind of expect more from someone who's been playing an instrument for over 10 years. Her singing has improved tremendously, though.
