@poorlymadeproduction A lot of modern graphics effects were created for this game. The creators asked the card makers to add what they needed.

It looked dogdirt bad in magazine stills but great in video or played. (Video was not the major source for game news at the time.) Never got traction and was quickly forgotten. Minor lost classic and highly recommended.

I've played this game through and it's pretty faithful to the original Tron script while also updated for when it was made. I loved it. It plays as a first person shooter, but you have to be smart.  Loved the visual effects!

I mean something more along the lines of World of Warcraft or something. You create a character and live in a world much like the TRON 2.0 game with the advantage of maybe being able to compete "in the games" (like the movie itself) to level. Much the same way as you can play "in the World of Warcraft" but choose to do Arena or Battleground play as well. Pretty much the same but with a futuristic TRON theme.

Slighty hard, but fun.

Its difficult even on Easy mode, i haven't even got past level one yet, the security/anti-virus programs on the game are relentless and are f---ing hard to kill not to mention they are everywhere, i believe they are called ICP's, the game is a nice balence between melee and first person shooter, the only problem i see with the game is that your disk takes a while to return to ya. oh ya, word of warning, once this game is installed on your pc, you can't uninstall it.

Some of the game disks (like the one i have) are missing a few codes, the lack of codes results in the game data of that preticular disk supergluing itself to your computer's OS, you can't change it or delete it, the only way to banish the slightly faulty data is to reformat the computer completely. Mind you, the lack of codes doen't impede on the game itself, its just annoying as hell that the game takes up a shitload of computer memory and can't be deleted or removed.

Early 80s: Tron was released.

Late 90s: Disney think of making a sequel, but it never happens.

Early 00s: Game released based on the abandoned movie's plot. Didn't sell well, despite being a lot of fun, possibly due to bad marketing.

2008-ish: Disney greenlight a new Tron movie.

2010-ish: TR2N released.

The new film will not be called Tron 2.0, but TR2N, and there IS a bootleg video of the teaser trailer for that floating around (though Disney doesn't seem to let people put it up anywhere for long).
