Good to see that Vector is still around! I have been fan of Vector since Gerald Wiegart founded the company around 1989. I have always been a fan of aviation, and his desire to mix supercar technology with aviation technology seemed natural to me.
The W2 was outstanding, and I let everyone know it. I had posters on my wall, and still think about that car. Unfortunately, it never went into production. The W8 changed that. But Vector Aeromotive never built more than 22 cars.
@clkgrt Its actually 605bhp, 1/5, they originally wanted that much, but only gave it 605bhp, Will beat the F1 in the 1.4 mile, 10.8 vs 11.0, but after that, the 1000lbs weight advantage of the F1 becomes clear..
@clkgrt Nah, they only made 1 Prototype, with wanting 50 being made, this teal one is one of 5, of course not mass produced due to budget issues, retali price is $605,000, but u wont find one under $1,000,000, 1 in teal, 2 in silver, 1 in black, and 1 in blue.
the WX-3 was planned to get engines up to 1000hp and a max of 250mph (7.0L DOHC V8), but the full series of engines was never completed. Instead, the WX-3 used the same Rodeck turbocharged V8 from the W8. today's bugatti veyron has now engines with that kind of power, right..?
