yeah thats popular on alot of Cats. but i've been upside down (head below my feet at least) with the ball and i hit a nice wave and it didn't fall out.

you guys don 't use the ball harness system?? it saves alot of weight, cuz you just have a carbonfiber plate with a slot in it and you slip a ball into it and you go out on the wire. no metal at all. total weight is about... 2 pounds

Tapezeing is what you see in the video where the crew are standing horizontally on the side of the boat. Only the crew trapezes down wind but both upwind. That is the cost in Pounds so in euros it must be about 30,000!! Cheers is just a way or say thanks and yes i learnt to sail in an opti! very competitive fleet here in Great Britain!

The crew it trapezeing the whole time???? the boat is called a tornado and they cost new roughly £20,000!!!! and yes they take along time to rig and get set up!! cheers T

can't understand why they'd remove the most exciting class form the games in an attempt to make sailing a more popular choice in terms of t.v. etc. makes no sense, especially seeing as the tornado was an open class, women raced equally to men, not sure how much of a difference it made though, you'd have to be some woman to handle a 20 foot cat like a tornado.
