Hey, I have an Atari 2600. I don't really get what's going on here. You buy a special cartridge, i know that. But do you need other stuff too? What do people mean by "bending" the Atari?
@Bricklin1990 Everything I'm doing in this video has to do with the cartridge. When people talk about "bending" a 2600, it requires them actually opening up the device and altering the circuitry inside. I wouldn't recommend it without a lot of previous research and a reasonable working knowledge of electronics.
It's a cartridge made by Paul Slocum of the band Treewave called Synthcart. You can purchase it from the homebrew Atari 2600 cart site AtariAge. It's a LOT of fun, as you can see =)
Nice, you should check out my atari synthcart vid!

Hey thanks for the info. Does the 2600 need to be bent in order for the synth cart to work?

@Bricklin1990 Nope. All you need is a normal Atari 2600 and a pair of keyboard pads.

How is the note pattern created?

One of the keypads has notes mapped out, and you can set it up to arpegiate.

Hello.
I am considering the purchase of synthcart.
How do you connect TV with atari2600?
Is a special cable necessary?

Keep an eye out for a device called an RF converter. That's pretty much all you need.
