I am so upset right now. This person has not only hurt you, but he has harmed an entire community by making you remove your videos.

I think there's a typo in your video's title: one too many "o"s in the last word. :P On a more serious note, I wish you luck in accomplishing your summer goal, and instead of Arizona, I think you and your boyfriend should both move to Iowa and get married. Unless Arizona suddenly decides to see the light and legalize gay marriage as well, in which case I'd be all for moving to Arizona. :)

Someone hired a PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR because Derek did not answer his YOUTUBE MESSAGES????? The scenario sounds crazy. Looks like Derek did not have a choice, with his family situation and all. Whoever did this should be put in jail.
Im going to Minneapolis to finish (hopefully) recording a new CD. And even if it doesnt get finished at least a good chunk of it will be done.....
Also, to go to Gay Pride for the first time... and perhaps a trip to California if money allows.....Other than that it will probably be a summer of more art and music.

I doubt that he is really a Canadian. This could be a strategy hiding his location. It seems difficult to me, that he could investigate Derek's address from such a distance. But I don't know, and moreover I'm in Europe.
This person went so far as to hire a private investigator to identify Derek's full name and address. This happened some weeks before the recent drama. Derek tweeted that the stalker's stated motivation was that he (Derek) would not answer his messages on YT. It cost some kind of bucks to hire a PI to get this kind of information, so he's a serious nut case with resources.
i think derek's therapist told him to get off - i am sure that airing all his issues across the world is not a good therapy technique or a good way to deal with his father's issues and getting peace in his house and life!
When Derek mentioned the therapy, it was also my first thougt, that the therapist would possibly tell him this.
But I'm quite shure, that this didn't happen, because Derek in this case had uploaded a good bye video explaining this to us.
And now in fact we know what really happend, i. e. the stalker issue. This scenario also explains the immediate and radical way, he ceased his accounts.
