I am not a Republican or a Democrat. I have issues on both sides of that I support. No one on the Republican side has done anything to impress me yet. They still have plenty of time, but most of what has been said so far seems to be a lot of talk and not many real ideas. Are you just interested in US politics or what is your reason for asking?

George W Bush in my opinion is a great conservative. The War in Irak is causing major spendings but in times of war, money is obviously spended. Well it seems that at least 95% of those people are celeberties. Now we all know that they live in the real world, are good with money, and most of all have real knowledge of government.
I love the way most of them have socialist beliefs, I am sure they had areas like Bev. Hills in former USSR.

I am not a Republican or a Democrat. I have issues on both sides of that I support. No one on the Republican side has done anything to impress me yet. They still have plenty of time, but most of what has been said so far seems to be a lot of talk and not many real ideas. Are you just interested in US politics or what is your reason for asking?

I agree, I am just trying to make a point that recently the Republicans have favored social conservatism over fiscal conservatism. It has won them elections, but it is not the focus I would like to see.

George W Bush in my opinion is a great conservative. The War in Irak is causing major spendings but in times of war, money is obviously spended. I mean he cut taxes and took the US out of the Kyoto protocol which was a radical hit to the economy. He is impulsing free trade and he has appointed conservative judges like Samuel Alito. He sounds like a good conservative to me. Go Bush!!

He has been great on tax cuts, the war on terror and judges. However, he also supported amnesty for 15 million illegals, the medicare prescription plan and up until very recently, he hadn't vetoed any of the insane spending bills....and I am not talking about the military ones.

The GOP is supposed to stand for fiscal responsibility. We need to RAISE taxes. If we want to fight a war we have to pay for it, or our kids will pay (w/ interest). Freedom isn't free right? Alan Greenspan is a lifetime Republican and probably the most respected name in the US when it comes to the economy. He said Bush's tax cuts are totally irresponsible. I see you are not from the US, but just FYI, we spell Iraq with a 'q'. I'm not being a prick, just telling you.

That's a good idea if someone reduced spending. Lincoln Chafee was one of the few Republicans that was in favor of reducing spending. Ever hear of Mr Conservative Barry Goldwater? Just shows that being a consevative now just means being a pawn to the republican party.
