Don't really know about cost. This video was taken Oct 2007 at the University of Barcelona School of Pharmacy. This press was one of the two older rotary presses they had in their pilot manufacturing scale up plant. I was there for two months for a Pharmacy rotation, so cost of tooling wasn't really something we really inquired about. I can tell you this; 16 upper punches, 16 lower punches, and 16 dies, all machined to exacting spec out of stainless steel can't be cheap.
