  • goodinho

  • MMmmmM makes me wanna go down the street to the Gila res, there's someone always out there selling fry bread.

  • Beavertails YUMMY

  • @marleejoan Yep!

  • ummmmmmm looks goooood lol

  • this is MY perfect cooking demonstration. The rest go blah blah blah too much talk and not enough demonstration. Most ppl can use some common sense and can cook when SHOWN

    I am gonna try this.....

  • Caveman dohnuts?

  • Damn you made me hungry again lol.

  • similar to navajo fry bread...kewl.

  • @blessednativequeen They then toss variable foods on them. Yeah, very yum!

  • elephant ears?

  • @Ironstonez Yep, that too.

  • We call that TORTILLAS DE CASTILLA!!!

  • @Queenita7 Yep!

  • @kooktocook In my country we call it 'bakes' or 'Johnny cakes'

  • I love how your videos just go to how to cook the stuff and not a lot of blaa blaa blaa.

  • @sea2007w101 A bit like a flat donut. They street vendors sell them in the winter months around here. Quite popular. cheers!

  • You have rovoulutionized america with this youtube vid. I love you now.

  • @christopherlajoie lol Certainly a tasty treat. So many ways to dress them too. A few sugestions on toppings in the comments below. cheers! KtC

  • we call em beaver tails

  • Hey KTC what exactly does Fried dough tatse like?

and could you make cheese bread this way?

  • @icecru2 This is pretty much similar to a donut recipe. So taste like a donut. Cheesebread is best just following a typical bread recipe (see my Fressh Bread vid.) with variable types of cheese added to teh dough prior to baking. Not much as it can affect the bread from rising properly. Cheese powder in the dough also works quite well some real stuff placed on top, then bake. Sounds tasty!

  • @kooktocook thanks KTC, i'll try to make it one day.

and don't worry about the music complaints, all though i onder what it would sound like backwards.. but since i don't know how to do it i wont worry about it.

I do like your wing recipes and would like to make them one day as well! ':)

  • you havto change that shit music!!!!!

  • @Danomite8 lol Have a great day Dan!

  • Haha I did it it turned out great! thanks!!

  • @Mcblender23 Sure are tasty. A bit of work but worth it. We enjoy them every couple of months. The sugar and cinnamon is a basic idea but many topping work quite well. Happy you enjoyed them. cheers from KtC!

  • Hey what kind of oil is used??

Hey quel sort d'huile q'on deverait utiliser?

  • @Mcblender23 Canola oil is the type I use for most frying. Sunflower or other light oil would be fine. KtC

  • @kooktocook Thanks :)

  • Your recipe is similar to my TOTTELLERS, but I use bread dough (freshly-made is BEST, although thawed packaged dough is OK, too). I use a ROLLING PIN to flatten out the sections into pads, and SHALLOW FRY 'em into a hot CAST IRON (black) SKILLET until each side of 'em gets golden brown (before they burn to death).

  • @RobTele12 Yummy! Thanks for sharing. KtC

  • Too fast!

  • @PolishSplash I thought this one dragged on a bit myself. cheers!

  • @shallieee8 A tasty treat! thank you, KtC

  • C'est peut être qu'1 minute mais c'est une ENORME minute !!!

  • @agnesdeque Je tiens à profiter au maximum de mon temps :)

    merci mon ami, KtC

  • waka waka

  • how much oil ? 1in? - 2 in? - 3in?

  • @ShadowReaper072 You will require at least enough to cover them in the pan you are using. A typical deep fryer is fine too. Doesn't really matter as long as there is enough to submerge them (as with any deep fried food). cheers, KtC

  • DUDE! SLOW DOWN. I can't cook that fast.

  • @gruntruski I can't either. lol

Just my format here. Quick references and my thoughts on food basically. Thanks though, I appreciate your thoughts. cheers! KtC

  • I have subscribed cos your recipes seem easy & clear to follow. Not made any yet as this is the first time I've watched your videos.....& I can see there are many. Thanks.

  • @kooktocook in the west indies, ( trinidad and guyana) they make this and call it " bake" its usually split and stuffed with fried shark bits with onions and seasonings or with fried shredded salted cod, with onions shallot garlic pepper and sometimes fried egg is thrown in, its delicious! :) if you ever try it that way let me know!

  • @DivaLatinaANNI I have had similar. Certainly sounds really tasty. I will have to try that way. Perhaps a part 2 vid. cheers! KtC

  • funnle cake!

  • @TheRaemoney A bit similar. No yeast and less work with funnel cake. I like them both. This is more like a donut. cheers! KtC

  • haha are there any substitutes for dry yeast? I cant find any.

  • i'm making them now wish me luck:)

  • well my deep fryer died on me.

    but i still made them.

    very good,it brings back memories.

Happy they turned out for. Yes a nice treat particularly in the winter months. Thank you for the feedback! Have a great day. KtC

  • how do you make the balls???

  • as in doughnut holes? The same recipe exactly for the starter. Just form into 'small' balls (they will become larger) and drop in the oil. When golden remove (about 3-4 minutes. cheers! KtC

  • elephant ear created in war time when rations were short the remaining dough from the british and the grease was used to create the dish...the remains created hushpuppies..this was a food used by the came-ruun or war tribes of florida to defeat the british.....seminole is cimmaroon-cameruun

  • @aazeem99 Interesting. Thanks for sharing. KtC

  • I never tried one, how healthy are these? they look calorie packed but also look yummy

  • Is this the same thing as beavertails?

  • yep, close enough. Have a great day! KtC

  • Omg Mr. Kook, you wont believe it but my dad used to cook those all the time when i was a kid :D Thanks for the memory refresher there!

  • thank you for the recepie

I made it is very good

  • why would you add milk? you have to let the dough rise for four hours, so the milk will spoil and taste like shit in that time.

  • milk makes this one. If properly prepared the dough will rise in less than an hour. I stated 40 min. (not 6hrs). which is enough time for me.

FYI, the best breads are made with sour (spoiled) milk by the way. KtC

  • Hmm.

You just cover it and it rises?

    How long does that take?

  • About 40 minutes. No more than an hour. KtC

  • go to thailand, malacca or singapore to try some fried dough called "you tiao" it's delicious!especially with coffee!

  • My husband loves fry bread. I make it every once in a while. not too often. I should start making it more often. He loves to spread peanut butter and jam over the bread while it's still hot.

  • These were a blast to make! I made a double batch for my girlfriends family since they were coming back from florida, i wasnt thinking and used 50-50 sugar and cinnomin.. XD so the first batch had 'WAY' too much cinnomin, but the second batch was perfect! Keep the great recipies coming~ Thanks for all the fun times in the kitchen!

  • Yep, they are really tasty. Individual taste differs on cinnamon. Go with 1 part cinnamon to 4 part sugar. Work from there to taste. Fresh ground cinnamon is more 'richer'. I am really happy you enjoyed them! cheers, KtC
