Hi Gov. Scott Walker! You're going to call off your proposed bill. You're going to publicly state that you will not take away collective bargaining rights. Or... these guys are going to take your balls. They're going to send one to the New York Times, one to the LA Times press-release style. Look, the people you are after are the people you depend on. We cook your meals, we haul your trash, we connect your calls, we drive your ambulances. We guard you while you sleep. Do not... fuck with us.
THERE IS NO “FAIR” WAGE FOR TEACHERS. The closest we can come is that wage structure produced from negotiations between a strong teachers union and a powerful government body. Pitting a SINGLE employee against a powerful state government or a multi-national corporation is laughingly unfair. Only through COLLECTIVE bargaining between these entities can something approaching a “fair” wage be reached.
YouTube allows an upload to be used as a video comment on just a SINGLE posting. So please search YouTube for “Introduction to Teaching 101.mpeg”. Don’t know how much of my taxes are going to study public education, but Washington could save a LOT on consultant fees by just reading the responses to my above upload from hard pressed teachers from around the country. Teachers KNOW what is wrong with American education – career and politically motivated administrators do not.
The Internet is being used to revolutionize societies. Tell your Congressman to rewrite the “Employee Freedom of Choice Act” so it uses the Internet to allow workers to request and conduct union votes DIRECTLY with the NLRB. Truly secret votes where employers can’t identify and fire organizers. Force employers to bargain with unions 30 days after a successful vote. Bring in an arbitrator 30 days later if no contract is in place. In 2012 VOTE for Obama, House & Senate majorities and pass it!
This is exactly what needs 2 B happening in this country & is happening in3 world country's(I hate that term) There is no 3rd world only 1 & it's all our responsibility! It is time 4 all that is hidden in darkness 2 B brought into the LIGHT& exposed, undone!

When I have children there is no way I will be sending them to a Public School. Private all the way, at least that way they will be actually getting an education. I think it's time our school system under go major changes.
Not one of these reports shows or outlines the amount of benefits these "workers" get to start with. Why, they base their argument on emotion and not facts. Do your own homework and look at what these "workers" are actually getting. These benefits pale what the private sector gets. I have seen the $ numbers and have no sympathy...sorry. What about the "fraud" of calling in sick to go to Madison teachers. You should all be written up and fired if attempted again.
@pestie67 You should be more concerned about what Wall Street banksters are making rather than Wisconsin public workers who make an average of $20,000 a year.
@pestie67 Whoa. Nice comment there, Goebbels. Who's blinded by ideology there, sport? Seriously? You'd defend the elitist bastards who profit from the abolition of unions? They don't give a damn about you or your family. Wake up, my friend! You'd better see what's going on here before it's too late. We're heavily in the throws of corporatist fascism. You've obviously never read Orwell or delved into world history.
oblama's thesis of "We Can Borrow our Way Out of Debt!" This theory coming from a man who has Zero Experience in; 1) Budgeting & Finance, 2) Businesses, Large or Small, 3) State's Rights, 4) DOD / National Guard, 5) Foreign Affairs, 6) Health Care, Medicine, 7) Military Matters, 8) Science & Technology
There's no other outcome here. We don't have the money! It's just that simple. We are either on the side of the Wisconsin protesters or we are on the side of our country, which can only have economic future if we make these cuts.
@meltdown53 That's not true. That's a myopic assumption, one most likely borne out of conservative talking points. There are MANY outcomes. It depends on who's willing to make concessions. Every time these discussions arise, the wealthy are treated as untouchable, while it's the working class who've made concessions to lower living standards as the inequality gap widens. Private, corporate interests have benefitted greatly from exploiting the public. Why don't you people hold THEM accountable?
Scott walker is one clever son of a bitch, may he rot in hell.
