@LightOokami: First song by Calories Blah Blah - "Yahk Roo Tae Mai Yahk Taam (Want To Know But Don't Want To Ask)'; second song by Mild - "Unloveable". Hope that helps.
@divine0enigma: Bell is a beautiful and talented transgender who wants to brings across the message that "good music has no barriers between race, religion, or gender". The only 'trap' you may be referring to is how narrow discriminatory views lead to hate and violence.
@TheWentzMachine: Sure, but question is why used it here? What is the 'trap' referring to? If you asked the bullies who laughed at Bell when she was young they would have said "Its just a joke" as well. Where do we draw the line?
@7seanchan Further out than you've drawn it. You're stiff, where's the positive in that? Trap is no way inherently insulting to my mind. It means that they've done what they've done with success. The world has been taken in so to speak. The judge even says and i'm paraphrasing the Taiwanese here, "You deceived me". Is that also insulting to admit our having not known what someone sought to hide or change? Bell is a trap. "It's a trap!" is a classic reference. Offense is taken not given. Relax.
@TheWentzMachine: I appreciate your explanation and forgive me if I sound 'stiff'. Unfortunately this popular phrase has now "evolved to act as a warning to posters or readers that a particular person is not a female, and in fact possesses male genitalia beneath their clothing/lingerie" (taken from ohinternet). What is the positive in that? FYI, BiBiBeny the original translator has admitted that 'deceit' may not be the best sub and he has meant no insult.
@7seanchan You still don't understand. Deceit is not a problematic term just as trap isn't. It means they succeeded. Which was the goal from the start.
@TheWentzMachine: Look at the terms from a gender equity perspective and you may understand why they may be problematic. Trap is used as a WARNING that Bell is a transgender. What is there to warn? It is really a degrading term because it means transgender are dangerous. Deceit could be interpreted as being dishonest while Bell merely presented her true self and talents to everyone on stage.
Surely you can celebrate her success using better terms?
@TheWentzMachine: Exactly right, its about how you take words like 'shit', 'retard', 'idiot', and other expletive insults which I refuse to use. As I mentioned before, even the nicest word could be used as an insult or sarcastic remark based on the tone and disposition of the person who utters it. But the point is, why use a word like trap to describe transgender? What are the implications? Could you answer that?
@7seanchan I can. It's a pop culture reference. You seem to have some understanding of words themselves not being inherently insulting. But then the next phrase disregard the actual implication of this axiom. You genuinely think I'm the person who doesn't understand but you're the one who is still ultimately fixated on a subjective evaluation of a label. You know of the concept but don't follow the rational implication. Why is trap derogatory? Because someone decided it is? I'm just beyond that.
@TheWentzMachine: Thanks for reply. Pop culture or not, that term would be treated by most as a 'warning' that Bell is a transgender. How many people here would actually interpret as what you claimed "it was a success"? That being the case, isn't it construed as an insult to transgender regardless of the original intention (though I highly doubt it). I do not think you don't understand, rather if you'd prefer I could use "I hope I am making myself clear". Were you fixated on my evaluation then?
@7seanchan Yes so fixated that I decided to spare just a few moments of my life to show try and show someone they were being small minded. It failed and I am moving on. You're letting it get too you way too much. It's not about anyone else's interpretation. It's about your own. What does being called gay to do a gay person? The worst is upset them and even then they have to let it. The same applies to everyone. The more familiar you are with what the word is actually saying, the less it matters.
@TheWentzMachine: Thanks for effort. Interestingly 'gay' was meant to be a non-offensive! But compare 'He is my gay friend' in an introduction to 'You're so GAY!' in a school locker room. As I've emphasised, the word itself does not matter but the message it sent across does. Why do you want to send messages that upset LGBT then? Why do they have to let it go? Are you encouraging bullies and urging victims to be submissive and less 'small minded'? Could we try to educate n discuss here instead?
@7seanchan The fucking yes i would like them to be less small minded both and any parties. Holy shit you just brought that up as an argument point when small mindedness is the entire problem. I think i'm done here. I have no hope to achieve anything and didn't with the last post. Have a good life and good luck with moving past the details.
@TheWentzMachine: Thanks for contribution. Just to complete the argument, there is a huge difference between being small minded and standing up against discriminations. Its hard to fight FOR justice, but we can fight AGAINST injustice. I am not claiming who is right or wrong but I definitely feel there is a need to address the use of inappropriate terms that may discriminate transgender in this case. Good luck to you too for being so 'broad minded' that you completely missed my entire point.
@TheWentzMachine: You seem to suggest that calling transgender a 'trap' is only a petty matter and unfortunately, this is a common disregard. Herein lies the problem... it is not trivial. It does concern how you view and treat people who are different from you. Do we really want to encourage discriminations? I've nothing against pop culture references but use them wisely.
You can only decide what is petty if it concerns you. Are you a transgender that's fine being called a 'trap'? If so, why?
@7seanchan I'm not suggesting anything of the sort. I'm telling you that you're petty. So petty in fact that you can't even see your own pettiness. I've had no hope for what i'm saying getting through to you for three posts now and won't be responding again. Please, do not bother.
@TheWentzMachine: All good then. My apologies if you think I was being petty. I was just trying to make the point "It's a trap!" should not be used here because it is an insult to transgender. You deem my actions as petty but I see it as an opportunity for civil discussion. Perhaps I am too principled for your liking?
Since you will not be responding, allow me to conclude that 'trap' is not an appropriate word to describe transgender regardless of the context.
Argh! Shut it people. Who cares whether the person is a girl or female?!! She has a VOICE and SHE is putting it to GOOD use!! Why don't you learn a litte here?!
<3 I fell completely in love with her the first time she even uttered a syllable.
@7seanchan you know, some people don't see the term trap as a bad thing.
While I can respect that you're trying to educate people, you're really just coming off as an annoying prat. Youtube is not where people come to learn about gender politics.
@EdwardAspel: interesting that what u said could be used exactly against u 2!
"You know, some people do see the term trap as a bad thing. While I can respect u r trying to educate me, you're really just coming off as an annoying prat. Youtube is not where people come to come to learn just about your opinions."
Just as u see fit to make ur comment, I see the need to address these pertinent gender misconceptions. Unless u are using double standards, u r doing what I've done.
@poophead156: I agree most people like Bell because she is beautiful and not to mention talented. Hopefully with these qualities she is able to convince people who are prejudiced against transgender that they deserve equal opportunities and treatments.
FYI, I did not give myself thumbs ups... but I gave you a thumbs down.
Bell Nuntita is a male to female transgender. She is courageous to show the world that music is no barrier to religion, race, or gender. Enjoy her beauty and talents.
Song title for the 1st part is 'Yahk Roo Tae Mai Yahk Taam' by Calories Blah Blah and the 2nd part is 'Unloveable' by Mild.
I remember someone while watching this. Why won't you watch Marcelito Pomoy of Pilipinas Got Talent? He is as amazing as this.....So amazing he could sing a female voice....Please try and be amazed.
@Yookhay101 I think u didn't got the point. Bell is so amazing because she can sing with both male and female voices then switch it as one. I watched marcelito's video and I agree his female voice just amaze me, but try ask him to sing with male voice and let's see what happen... Now u got me? Here is the point: Bell can sing and switch b2een both male & female voices, and marcelito can only sing with HIS voice which sound like a female...
@guillehung Well, Marcelito can sing with a deep male voice as well but that is again beside the point. I do not think comparing between the 2 of them would do either much good! Each set of fans have their unique reasons for supporting so it will be fruitless to debate over who is better. I just find it slightly distasteful that many Marcelito's fans are advertising his talents on Bell's videos comments. I sure hope Bell's fans are not doing that!
wait..is it just me or she looks like Witwisit Hiranyawongkul from the move The love of Siam??? they have striking resemblances...both are good singers (in a male voice) too!!! now i wonder if the actor had a sex change...lol...
@BiBiBenny I fully understand where you come from and if you look at the videos I uploaded, I credit every single one from whence I reloaded with the original link attached in the description. The reason why I reloaded it is simple, it becomes a dedicated channel for Bell's fans to find all related videos. Please continue to create your English subtitles as it benefits a lot of non-Thai speaking fans! I too have self-made videos that others took credit for, but I'm glad that they are shared!
@7seanchan I completely got your point now. My point is I feel not so good seeing what I did has been taken and no credits are provided. It's not a big deal, but it's discouraging me from doing any good for foreign TGT fans. I admit that last night I was a little upset since my friends told me about being taken a credit from. They provided me the links of all the videos. So I posted comments unpolitely. I can see your case it's just the lyrics. But others, it's the whole show. Thanks and sorry.
@BiBiBenny Please do not apologize to me! I cannot thank you enough for the hard work you put in to translate, create, and to synchronize the subtitles! As an academic, I fully oppose plagiarism and as you put it, it is a 'disgusting' behaviour. I hope you accept my sincere apologies for the honest mistake and I thank you for giving me notice. I have added annotation to offer you due credit and a link to your original video in the descriptions. Alas, many uploaders have yet to learn etiquette!
@7seanchan Thank you so much for being polite and discuss this with your calmness.I did have to say sorry for prejudging without messaging you privately and politely. At least we can talk about this decently. I should be glad as your previous comment that one talented Thai is being loved by people all around the world. And I am a bit embarrassed for my oversight on that matter. Thanks for subscribing and for understanding. And I've accepted the apologies since your first post. This is delightful.
@BiBiBenny It is my honour and pleasure to have this discussion with you :-) You are a living legend amongst the international fans with your translations and we yearn for your updates each time!!! You are absolutely spot on that Bell is being loved by people around the world, but huge credit goes to you for letting us understand her better! Be proud that you are a significant part of a movement that brings people from over in celebration of Bell's beauty and talents!
@BiBiBenny Can I also make a request that you make a guest post on Bell's international facebook fanpage? I am sure there are many fans who would like to thank you personally for bringing them closer to Bell.
I am so happy that this misunderstanding have been resolved amiably and hopefully we can synergize and put our strengths together for greater good!
agora , to em duvida, é um homen forçando uma voz de mulher ? ou uma mulher forçando voz de homen ? ai eu acho que é um homen ,a sei la to confusa hsauhushasus, mais q é bom é muitoo
@arkyang Go to Bell's FB international fanpage, look under "Bell's Exclusive Downloads", look for the song 'Yahk Roo Tae Mai Yahk Taam', click on the lyrics. Hope that helps.
@HDsharp Yes. Sexual orientation is different from gender orientation and hence it is possible for transgender to develop homosexual relations as well.
So theres must be transgenders who dont have to transform themselves to the other sex. If I was a transgender (with a penis) and like girls, it makes sense for me to remain a male right? would i be right to say, transgenders (with a penis) who change into a she must like men.
@HDsharp Transgender believe that they are born in the wrong body and hence they yearn for a sex change... it has nothing to do with their sexual preferences. You can be a male to female transgender (gender orientation) that prefers a lesbian relationship with a girl (sexual orientation). It would not make sense to remain a male just to be a heterosexual couple.
Its a common misconception that all trans are gay or lesbian. Gay and lesbians are not trans because they are happy with their body.
Such a beauitful and talented woman paying the price of being born with the birth defect of TG. Its easy to see that she is very happy being who she really is instead of hiding in a false shell body.
@MrPix08 It is not that difficult to make a civil and polite comment. To make sarcastic allusion to transgender as a 'trap' is quite uncalled for. It would be the same as calling you a male chauvinist 'PIG' which I am certain you would not appreciate. So why don't we broaden our hearts and simply appreciate and accept Bell for her talents? Cheers. Love All, End Hate.
@7seanchan I agree with you, but how come they (a group of transgender in Thailand) call themselves "VENUS FLY TRAP"?---was that just a play of words? Or they have a meaning to it? Please explain.
@ERAP1st Honestly I do not know where the group name came from, although I seriously doubt there was a play on the word 'trap' since it is not common in Thailand to call transgender 'trap'. 'Ladyboy' is a more commonly crude term used in Thailand even though there is a strong association with the sex industry. But then again, it is the dispositions of the people when they use the terms that really matters... as long as you use a despicable tone, the nicest word becomes an insult.
She can have a duet all by herself. Now THAT'S talent.

@7seanchan You should have known why I said 'Stealing is disgusting'.
Even if I knew it's not that polite. But so many channels keep stealing what I did,

And acting like they have created them on their own.
This really makes me sick and don't want to do any English subtitle anymore.
Not to mention that I don't see a proper reason of copying other's work and posting it.

Bell is not a female trap into a male body. As you can see, she has a female body. Like lady Gaga, she just has a penis. Or at least had one.

kinda makes me think of Nick Pitera (type his name in the search field if you don't know who I'm talking about)! ^^

Can trans genders be lesbians? like women?
HDsharp 11 months ago
@HDsharp Yes. Sexual orientation is different from gender orientation and hence it is possible for transgender to develop homosexual relations as well.

@7seanchan
So theres must be transgenders who dont have to transform themselves to the other sex. If I was a transgender (with a penis) and like girls, it makes sense for me to remain a male right? would i be right to say, transgenders (with a penis) who change into a she must like men.
HDsharp 11 months ago

WHAT THE!!!?? ITS A TRAP!!
MrPix08 11 months ago

ERAP1st 10 months ago
@ERAP1st Honestly I do not know where the group name came from, although I seriously doubt there was a play on the word 'trap' since it is not common in Thailand to call transgender 'trap'. 'Ladyboy' is a more commonly crude term used in Thailand even though there is a strong association with the sex industry. But then again, it is the dispositions of the people when they use the terms that really matters... as long as you use a despicable tone, the nicest word becomes an insult.
