The world has been taken in so to speak. The judge even says and i'm paraphrasing the Taiwanese here, "You deceived me". Is that also insulting to admit our having not known what someone sought to hide or change? Bell is a trap. "It's a trap!" is a classic reference. Offense is taken not given. Relax.

It is really a degrading term because it means transgender are dangerous. Deceit could be interpreted as being dishonest while Bell merely presented her true self and talents to everyone on stage.

Surely you can celebrate her success using better terms?

As I mentioned before, even the nicest word could be used as an insult or sarcastic remark based on the tone and disposition of the person who utters it. You're letting it get too you way too much. It's not about anyone else's interpretation. It's about your own. What does being called gay to do a gay person? The worst is upset them and even then they have to let it. The same applies to everyone. The more familiar you are with what the word is actually saying, the less it matters.

Its hard to fight FOR justice, but we can fight AGAINST injustice. Each set of fans have their unique reasons for supporting so it will be fruitless to debate over who is better. @HDsharp Transgender believe that they are born in the wrong body and hence they yearn for a sex change... it has nothing to do with their sexual preferences. You can be a male to female transgender (gender orientation) that prefers a lesbian relationship with a girl (sexual orientation). It would not make sense to remain a male just to be a heterosexual couple.

Its a common misconception that all trans are gay or lesbian. Gay and lesbians are not trans because they are happy with their body.

@ERAP1st Honestly I do not know where the group name came from, although I seriously doubt there was a play on the word 'trap' since it is not common in Thailand to call transgender 'trap'. 'Ladyboy' is a more commonly crude term used in Thailand even though there is a strong association with the sex industry. But then again, it is the dispositions of the people when they use the terms that really matters... as long as you use a despicable tone, the nicest word becomes an insult.
