best sounding 5.7 ive ever heard! check out my video its an 86 gmc sierra that I put a 6.0 LS2 from an 03 hummer. its got longtube shcoenfeld headers, 3 inch true dual magnaflow hi flow cats, flowmaster super 44 with 4 inch tips. Video is Flowmaster Super 44 Vs. Glasspack.
I like that sound alot, i wish my truck sounded like urs. 3'' pipe sounds a world different than 2''. I have 3'' on mine too and its very gargly. Id like to straight pipe my truck someday down the road
@GGGGGGGTHEBEST7 Nope not that i could notice i started out with a 2inch Y pipe and HATED the sound it had so then i went to 3inch true dual exhaust and i love it! but when i did loose a lot of torque and low end speed is when i went from my stock 235 tires to 33inch tires it drives waaaaaay different then before. the ride is not as good and its slow off the go but it they help out a ton in the snow and mud so its worth it.
@havokwonder1212 Thats just one of the many reasons I don't perfer Chevrolet.. but I'm giving them yet another chance because its a free truck!! hahah
Nice vid. but I got a complaint. I got a 2000 chevy stepside with 2 1/2 in. pipe and 5 in. tips and it rumbles(sounds good) but it only pops when you floor it.Yours pops when you hardly gas it,mine doesnt and it seems like every one I know who has this setup pops, but mine dont. Yes its true dual,no X,H,or Y pipe and yes its high flow cats. So tell me HOW DO YOU GUYS GET YOUR TRUCKS TO POP AND SOUND THAT GOOD!!!!!!!!!!
@EJthecountryboyGRAY Hmm well your truck is a 2000 it has the 5.3 vortec engine right? and my truck has the 5.7 Vortec that could be one thing and also my truck has 3inch exhaust. i used to have 2 inch exhaust and i hated it so we took it out and re did the whole exhaust setup straight piped all the way from the highflow cats and there are only 3 bends in the whole exhaust setup and it changed the whole way my truck sounds! (For the better) 3inch pipes plus less bends it might help yours.
@havokwonder1212 Thanks,if I get the time and money I might try the 3in. ,but i know guys with the 5.3 like mine, same setup I got and theirs isnt 3in pipe, so?????
But so far its the only good answer I've got, so thank you and i'll keep it in thaught!
Oh by the way, in case I didnt say it, your truck is nice man, and sounds great,I know a dude with one like it and thats what made me catch this video. Keep those truck videos coming!!!
PS,The chevy of mine will soon be on youtube ,so watchout!
@heavychevy12345678Hey thanks :) I'm not totally sure my budy is the one who orderd them for me and Welded them on for me i think they are either Mangna flow or SLP proformence. they were kinda spendy like $120 for each cat then the Exhaust was free cuz my budy owns the Muffler shop its nice having hook ups lol im Poor!
@CarCrazyMike82 i love our burb im hoping to get some videos up of it this summer. we have 2 Suburbans a 1999 Lt and a 2009 Lt 2 i will hopefully get some videos of them up so stay tuned :)
