Even if they had to take the leg braces off to check them, there was better ways to handle the situation. Take him into a private room, like they said in the report, take the leg braces off and let his father carry him through the metal detector. If his father passed through without an issue, why could they not do that? I hope his parents sue the ass off of the TSA.

I took some law enforcement training and I could tell you for a fact that half the people I met were on a power control trip, and gun happy for the sake of power and misplaced vengeance. Protecting the public was not among their list of priorities but misplaced vengeance was. Some should have been thrown out and sent for psychiatric evaluation. Yet half of them were okay. nowadays it seems common sense is a rare commodity as well.

I have a very strong suspicion that there has been a tremendous negative cost on travellers and secondary costs on the economy and doubt that any lives have been saved at all.
