Watched the broadway link after this and there is just no comparison!! All everyone seems to go on about is "broadway this" and "broadway that" but I have yet to find a broadway version of anything that I prefer to the West End! I don't now, maybe I hear things differently to other people...

but Broadways is a tad better, the ending was stronger in the tony performance than the royal variety. and i like maria mindelle a bit more. overall the London version and Broadway version is AMAZING!

@errolmiranda No, they're really singing the whole time. That's what musical theater people do. Besides, you can't start lip synching "over time". You either do it the whole time, or not at all.

@errolmiranda Broadway is very different from pop music. Pop strives to get 1 decent performance (or they just autotune), which can cover up a singer of severe mediocrity. Broadway singers however practice their asses off every day and yes, sound THAT good each and every time. You can go to a pop or rock live show and it'll suck in comparison to the album, but with Broadway live sounds just as good or better as the recording b/c they're pros.

I would have to agree with u guys I don't think that Marla was nearly as good as Katie. Although I did like that she ad-libbed more, but just her voice in general wasn't as strong as Katie's, kinda disappointing. This cast also didn't seem as strong vocally as the UK cast, it was kinda weak and the energy level just seemed very low. I know it hasn't opened yet and things will get tweaked during previews so hopefully it'll get better, I still have high hopes for it & can't wait 2 see it on b/way.

@Soccer1225 It came to Broadway this year, but this version is much better... patina took it down a knotch there, and sis mary roberts doesnt stand out at all.. But on the other hand there are good shows this year too. My favourite is Anything Goes, then Book of Mormon and How to Succed in Bussiness without even trying, then Sister Act and Catch me if you can (hillarious, but weak voice of Frank). Oh and im sure that The Motherf*cker with The Hat is also great, but havent seen any of it yet =(
